Best holiday to go with kids in NSW

Has anyone had a fantastic holiday with their children? We love Little Beach at Nelson Bay, NSW but we are always on the lookout for more ideas and excellent suitable places that are great for littleys and us (Mum and Dad) too!!

Wow thanks everyone for these great ideas! These places sound great and something a bit different too. Beauty Obsession that is really cute that you want to catch a `fairy`!!! But I think you mean `ferry`!!! Can`t wait to tell my 10 year old daughter about this `typo` – she will we wanting to catch that `fairy` with you – she is so into them at the moment (the one`s with wings that is!!). But yes, Beauty Obsession Taronga Zoo just keeps getting better and better and is sooooooo worth it. They have a cable car thing within the zoo that takes people from the ferries below up the the zoo itself and you can keep going on it up and down as much as you want just for fun! Well worth a trip.

I`m from Melbourne and was wanting to go to Sydney at some stage to visit family. I think I you are not from Sydney staying in the heart of the city would be lovely. I want to catch a fairy with my family and take them to Taroonga Zoo. I haven`t been there in years.

Last September school holidays we took the kids to Kiama NSW – they have the Jamberoo water park – it was awesome – I think I even enjoyed going down the water slides just as much as the kids.
They have a new little tots water play area, a huge man made wave pool that is just so cool, tobogan slide, & so much more to discover & have fun.

Pembula on the NSW south coast is gorgeous and is great for little ones. We swim at the river mouth which is shallow but has little waves for boogie boards. We also love Tathra – which has a great beach, river and inlet – a really stunning place, we usually go camping there over Chrissy holidays, Bermagui is lovely too. But Tathra is a favourite and if you like a drive Tilba Tilba is the most stunning place, you could be mistaken for being in England or the Scottish highlands!

Yamba is really cute. you can go to the Angowie rock pools which is a lot of fun and the surrounding area is beautiful. we stayed there for our honeymoon and it was just so relaxing. there is the caravan park which is really good but we stayed in an old set of units i called seascape i think. they are much older but really cheap and super cozy and they sleep loads of people.
