Bit of a random question, Do you know if those magnetic eyelashes work? Have you tried them, if not do you want to. I do but I’m a tad sceptical about them. Thanks in advance.

Not in my experience but yes, misfortune8 did get them to work.

      Personally, I hated them!

I tried them Becstar and I couldn`t do them. I think Misfortune8 eventually got hers to work.

Just wanting to know the best ingredient to look for when it comes to anti-aging for oily skin and in your 30’s. I am so confused with all the things out there and don’t want to get 101 things. I’d like to know the best ingredients or even products to look out for,

I keep thinking about that recent article about Prickly Pear Oil, in which we’re advised to use facial oils as the last step in our routine. Previous Bh articles have recommended oils before moisturiser; so, which is better: before or after moisturiser?

I hope you don`t mind me jumping in, mis8. My understanding is that it depends on both your oil and moisturiser – which one is an occlusive (feels thicker?). For example, I know you are a fan of RHO and personally I found RHO absorbs really well, so I have always been using it before my moisturiser (e.g. Dermalogica skin smoothing cream or EL Advanced Tine Zone Night). However, for oil that tends to just sit on skin and does not get absorbed, I use it after moisturiser. This is because if you apply the oil first, that oil will block the skin from absorbing the goodness of the moisturiser. Conversely, if I am using a very light moisturiser (e.g. Clinique hydrating jelly) I will apply moisturiser before the oil. (In reality though, I usually do not have time to wait for absorption so I apply one immediately after another so everything is all mixed together in the end…). Hope this makes sense.

Agreed…SJ…From years of reading and personal experience I totally agree
Oils should be a final step in layering or can be used as a stand-alone if particularly dry we do need both but we don`t have to use everything in one go
My skin and RHO just don`t get on although I persevere as I understand how good it is…I can use it if I mix a few drops in plant squalene oil it seems to absorb a bit better
ATM I am using a Palmers face oil (believe it or not) and finding it amazing…I know right go figure!!… the stuff is only 9 bucks …I use it after moisturizer always as nowadays creams are so light and hydrating as they should be but my skin I find needs more especially as I use azelaic acid a lot for refining texture.
I would be interested in asking a specialist what oils are needed by our skin especially over 50
What I`m trying to say is that I think oil should be used last for the reasons you stated the creams cant get through…I even think that of all oils even light ones so moister first then all oils last…Gothmista on youtube says this and she should know IMO

Yes, thanks for that, sj: I bow to your superior knowledge. Yes, I love rho but can`t handle anything too heavy. I rarely use moisturiser, or, if I do use it I use it instead of rho, but I was wondering how to combine them.

What anti-aging ingredients & vitamins can people with sensitive, reactive skin actually use safely without causing any issues? I already know my skin doesn’t like Vitamin C & I’m scared to use Vitamin A for much the same reason. I’ve tried AHA’s before in a mask but couldn’t wear it for long as my face became hot.
