Argh!! Stretch marks!

OK – I know there isn’t much I can do about stretch marks…but I seem to be covered in the damn things. Can anyone suggest a good product to use? They are all over my bum and thighs so I have them to worry about along with cellulite! I’m working out 4 times a week and have been trying to tone up, but any skin creams etc you could recommend would be a great help, thanks.

As far as i know (from the previous readings of medical/health sources), you cannot do much about strechmarks once they have appeared. They tend to fade naturally over time. Moisturising may help to prevent, but the main factor is genetics. If your mum, grandma, etc had them – you are likely to get some as well. I was lucky here, and after 2 pregnancies, i got none, without using any tummy oils, etc. None in my family have any strechmarks.

BUT: I HAVE PIMPLES – AND IT IS WORSE. AS THEY ARE ON MY FACE AND I CANNOT HIDE THEM!

Rewalize – my mum through all 3 pregnancies used baby oil religiously all over her body and got no stretch marks either! Nice to know there`s ways to prevent them! (have also used bio-oil with great success also).

Had a baby 6 months ago … used Bio oil through my entire pregnancy … even for a couple of weeks after baby arrived … didn`t even get ONE stretch mark! Which is fantastic and a miracle as my mum and all 3 sisters got them severely during their pregnancies … I`m either EXTREMELY lucky or it was the Bio oil that prevented it???? I also put on 20kg during my pregnancy … so I`d say it was a MIRACLE not to have gotten any! hehehe.

That`s great Sharna. Don`t give up. Nothing to do with stretchmarks but was wondering if you have been drinking Raspberry tea. It is supposed to be really good for preparing your uterus for labour. Just cleaning out my cupboard and thought i`d let you know as I didn`t find out till my third. It`s also supposed to be good for PMT. I might try it for this.

i used to have white ones on my bottom too, i called them my tiger stripes, i think they were from my body `filling out` as i grew up, they have faded to be pretty much non existent though, i just moisturised as normal, & exfoliated, but using something that helps skin tone might help get the white ones closer to your natural skin colour, so they are less noticable
