Any Suggestions?

Hi girls,
I am about to register a business name for my beauty therapy business. I will be working from home and possibly doing mobile to start off with but I need to register for an ABN. I am trying to come up with a good name. I would like something sophisticated and beautiful. I will be doing manicures/pedicures, brow waxing, lash/brow tints, make up and eventually facials etc. I don’t want anything cliche like fancy fingers or Brows by Beccy (my real name is Rebecca – not Glitter…surprise surprise)
Please help!

Nice choice of name GG. Being your daughters name the name will have special meaning to you. The french name was good too but I`m pretty awful at trying to pronouce names myself. This must be very exciting for you and I`m sure you will do extremely well. I`m from Melbourne so I`ll be sure to look you up 🙂

Well I registered my business name today! I went with Freya Beauty, with the tagline – Be a Goddess (Freya is the Norse Goddess of Beauty, Love and Fertility – and my daughters name)
Although I loved the French translation of Beauty Heaven I seriously sound like a fool when trying to speak with a French accent – and with an Aussie accent it just doesn`t sound as glamorous! I also tried translations for Beauty Heaven in Spanish, Italian (which are lovely) and in Dutch and Nordic (not very glamorous either…)
I`ll let you know when I`m up and running.

Oh don`t worry, I wont be doing freebies (maybe for my mum) I may do mates rates, but I still have to cover the cost of my products and equipment and give myself a wage, it will all be done properly.

I wish you great luck too.I would do some research of your area, are they mostly young/old people? Seeing as you said it might possibly be mobile, you might not wont to travel too far?.Offer discounts, or something to make people extra eager for your particular beauty expertise. Have a stand-out technique, value,or personality that will make people continue to come back for more. Do some self promoting, if possible, free demonstrations? These are just suggestions off the top of my head…best of luck.

I don`t mean to put a damper on your “”fun”” G.G. but when I was finished with my Beauty Therapy course alot of people took advantage of my kind nature and never payed me, wanted credit or they expected it for free, so it really put me off ever doing Beauty Therapy from home. (maybe I should of been more forceful) So some advice make sure u get that payment!! Good Luck with your business….and let us all know how you go..

Thanks to my years of learning French I`m going to venture out there and say it`s pronounced “”see-ell de byoot-eh”” just without too much of an Aussie twang 🙂 Good luck Glitter Girl, I hope your business does really well. Where abouts are you? I`m looking for a new beauty therapist!

Thanks, BO. I`m really excited to be finally be doing something hands on. I have been doing eyelash tinting this week on all my friends and family and gosh I`m good – even if I do say so myself, hehe. I haven`t burnt anyones eyes out or dyed their cheeks or eyelids – it`s been a perfect job every time! It`s so much fun. I have been doing some manicures too – but I need to perfect my hand massage.
