Any Correlation Beween Oily Scalp and Oily Skin?

I too have oily scalp and combo skin. First two days of head wash my hair are dry and then they are oily.

Most of my face is more normal-dry but the my scalp/the roots of my hair get so oily. Only thing Ive really noticed is if I dont wash my hair and correct the oil then I’ll usually get little bumps or a pimple somewhere near my hair line.

i have dry skin and oily hair. neer had a breakout in my life and my hair is very oily.

i think there might be. i was told to try using an anti dandruff shampoo to help with my acne (as my scalp is oily). so i started using a balancing/anti-dandruff shampoo and find my skin is looking a lot less shiny these days 🙂

Yep I do! I have combo skin (oily Tzone) and have to wash everyday (unless I use dry shampoo!) so my scalp gets very oily very quickly.

I have oily skin and a dry scalp? My hair is never oily…

It is strange though because even though I have oily skin and oily hair for years I suffered from what I thought was dandruff, it is only now since I have found out it wasn’t actually a dry scalp it was just irritation caused from using cheap shampoo and conditioner my whole life. What I thought was dandruff was just caused from scratching my scalp all the time, so now days I still have oily skin and oily hair minus the flaking scalp, lol.

Definitely an interesting thread! Would like to see if anyone has oily scalp/ dry skin syndrome and how they are coping! 🙂
