It is disgraceful how many companies test in animals, my boss is a co directed of a brand called eleven and we are peta approved I think in this day and age every company shouldn’t be able to profit or sel products if they test on animals it is absoloutly disgusting

I absolutely love seeing threads like this one! I am so against animal testing and am loving switching to brands that do not test on our beloved animals!

I tossed up creating a new thread, but I figured it’s easier to all follow the same thread.

I came across an article on the ABC News website about the cruelty of down harvesting for puffer jackets. Down pillows & quilts were not mentioned. The article is called The rise of the ugly puffer jacket hides a cruel truth By James Valentine

There is a perfectly safe way of harvesting eiderdown, mentioned in the above article. I don’t own one of these jackets or vests, & I certainly have no intention of buying one!

TMI Alert: Most cheapie puffer jackets are made using a live plucking technique! The down is plucked off the duck’s chest, then the bird is allowed to heal, then replucked up to four times a year!

I picked up some 2 for $4 but ill still eat mine.

If you go through your whole house and check if it has palm oil or another word for it (i forgot) i think your house would be almost empty of food. The best way is to go vegan that will be the only way

Me too MMMMM we always get timtams my fav are double coat and we buy those crown ones aswell that r caramel, they r incl. in the amt for $4 i think we got 3 for $5 or $6 this week so lot of yummy biscuits!!!
anyway i couldnt give them up no,no !!! hehe i agree there is alot of bad stuff in EVERYTHING goodluck avoiding it …. that would be very hard!
