Age appropriate makeup
i am 30 and my make up and beauty routine has changed a lot in the last few years.
what does every one think about age appropriate makeup, for example at 30 am i too old to wear glitterey lip gloss or at 16 is that too young for bright red lip stick?
what does everyone think????

I have bright days and no makeup days and I`m considerably past 30. I work a corporate job and there is a conservative image to be maintained in my workplace, outside of that I do as I wish. My nieces have shared some awesome tips and brands and most of the time people accept me for who I am and give compliments on how good I look.

When it comes to age, there are certain things you need to be careful of ie powder settling into fine lines or using products which helps keeping oiliness at bay but when it comes to colour you need to be concerned with what suits your complexion not what others think you should be wearing.

I`m gonna bring this thread back from the dead because I was going to start a new one about a similar subject… since I turned 30 I`ve started noticing more how much people really seem to feel free to tell you who you can or can`t be all of a sudden!
Just now I was on a different forum about beauty influencers on YouTube – we were discussing a beauty influencer who has always been known for bright coloured makeup and she`s in her early 30s now – and someone said “”Wow she needs to grow up and stop trying to appeal to the younger audiences. Who honestly wants to wear that obnoxious stuff at 30?”” and I actually got quite fired up… I`ve heard comments like that quite a bit in the beauty community and it`s annoying. Not that lots of people say it, but moreso that it`s a small but constant buzzing every now and again.
It seems online that when you`re 20 you can do whatever you want even if it does permanent damage… but once you turn 30, lordy lordy do not touch that glitter ever again! LOL
I hope you ended up doing and wearing whatever you want! The world is unkind enough without us being unkind to ourselves, too 🙂
