OPI nail envy really works for soft dry brittle or flaky nails, i just ordered some more it the only one il use, it just makes my nails so much healthier. Also heaps of culticle oil a couple times a day, try to keep them out of water too

I found the same thing too, my nails were really soft but once they are exposed to oxygen and using nail hardener they will harden but it will take time though. False nails can damage them quite badly. Use Sally Hansen nail cream, the one that smells like Apricots, so yum.

Unfortunately you just need to keep your nails short and apply strengthening products until they grow out a bit. I had the same problem when I took off my gel nails. Revitnail is great 🙂

a few times I have had acrylic nails professionally done (I`d been ill and my normally good nails were short)- yes they do looked great – but I hate what happens to my nails when they are removed. I dont think I`ll be going down the false nail road again!

i recently bought a new product called NAIL TEK FOUNDATION II it can be found on ebay for a cheap price basically what you need is a polish that is a ridge filler because it will fill all the little ridges that the acrylic has cause try and find a ridge filler that strengthens nails aswell i also recommend regular manicures, there so easy to do by urself at home all u need to do is soak ur finger tips in warm water for a fiew minutes push back ur cuticles apply the polish and remember to use a good cuticle cream or oil this will get your nails looking back to normal and healthy in no time good luck

I have a simple tip, all you have to do is buy a nail strengthening nail polish remover. It will help with the recovery process of your nails. Just use it to remove your nail polish whenever you wear it before or after the fake nails. I just use Cutex strengthening Nail Polish Remover. Comes in a pretty pink. 🙂

I swear by it, seriously, it not only strengthens your nails, but it also (advertised to do it, and it actually does it) whitens your nails.

Though I`ve never actually found my fake nails damage my real nails, I simply use warm water no creams or chemicals.

never stick your nails in acetone for 20mins unless you really hate yourself and wana dry the living daylight out of your nail, nail bed, and all skin around the area, instead soak a cotton ball in acetone sqeeze it out, rinse fingers with water and leaving it squished place it on your nail only wrap it in tin foil and let sit for 5-10 mins checking) then gently push off acrylic with an orange stick or cotton bud, apply cuticle oil and moisturise hands

You know this is really weird, but I had acrylics years ago, and when I took them off, my nails had never been better. They weren`t weakened at all.

when you mean safest…. you mean safest if you make sure you are doing it outside cause acetone evaporates quite quickly and i would not advice breathing it inside or often. beware of the fumes

its a long process nikki but theyu will get better it took my nails 6mths to improve cos thats how long it takes for the nail to fully grow out!
