African/American Hair

I have African/American hair and was wondering if anybody knew of hairstyles that i could try out? As i’m sick of always putting it up all the time in a bun at the back (Which is also breaking my hair from being pulled back tight). Also if anybody in SA knows of a hairdresser that might know how to cut my hair, as i struggle to find someone who knows what they are doing.

    Wish I had your hair. My boyfriends family is South Sea Islander and they all have hair like you. My son has unfortunately inherited my straight thin hair instead of his Dad`s afro. Most people that I know either wear braids in their hair, it looks good and keeps it manageable.
