acne on acne off

hey guys,
well ive constantly had bad acne not just on my body but on my face too though its kind of cleared up with a healthy-ish diet plan and skin routine….well its better than it was three years ago!
so i went to the west of sydney for a couple of days and my skin started clearing up! i didnt get any new pimples but my diet was pretty much the same so i wonder why did it get better then like it never has before? i asked my mum and she said it was because the air is filled with fewer toxins than deep in the city areas of syd. having heard this i remembered a product that acts as a kind of sealant against outside bacteria that you just spray on (junkisui product from kose) but they dont sell it anymore since it was in a aerosol can (problems with shipping) but it really did the trick!
would anyone possibly know of maybe a similar product or method?

I think I`ve heard of a similar product called Etude House Dust CUT Facial Mist (and theres also other products in that line). I`ve never tried it as I`m a bit skeptical but its good to experiment. Its sold in korea but you can buy it online (I recommend a site called jolse, they have great prices and free shipping, and from personal experience the products seem to be legit). If you`re looking to get rid of acne though I would recommend a BHA exfoliant, Paula`s Choice sells great ones. Even though they might seem a little pricier its well worth it in the long run, and if it`s your first purchase you get a $15 discount through the refer-a-friend program :).

prob a barrier cream would help, i have sort of had same situation happen to me, when I moved from south africa to the Uk, I had such a huge breakout was terible and had never had bad skin before, must have been the pollution in the air, but i did discover something in uni though when I went in tanning booths for a tan my skin got miraculously better and cleared up, lol, but tanning booths are not good for you so cant really do that all the time can you.
But I do try and get into the sunlight as much as I can, with SPF on though of course as it is oz, and my skin clears up. dont know id any help though.
I have heard the water thing though, about chemicals in the water where you live, I usually filtered mine in the Uk as lots of chemicals and will be buying a filter here too. 🙂

really? The water I use could be affecting my skins condition? well, i may test this on me and see if my skin is also sensitive to changes in water. thanks for the help there music!
Thanks Elmo! Now knowing that it wont be used up rapidly (unlike my moisturiser…looked at the bottle when the light hit it and I was shocked to see it was already at the half-way line- in half a month!) I`ll probably try this out. You never try you never know!

sbeez, sometimes the water you drink makes the difference, too. I find that mine reacts to changes in water, so when I`m travelling to some place I have to be super careful and wash my face only in bottled water….

If it makes any difference – you only need the tiniest bit – I`ve just got the mini size that comes in the travel kits and it`s lasted me for 6 months already! I do only use it during the day and only over my nose and under my eyes, but seriously, a little goes a long way! Best place to buy dermalogica is http://www.skincarestore.com.au – they sell it for the cheapest price there.

hmmm interesting sounds like this product serves a similar purpose. I`ll have to research this and ask the dermalogica assistants just to be safe especially since dermalogicas not quite in my regular budget range. thnx for the help elmo!

All I can think of is Dermalogica barrier repair gel – which is a light gel you smooth over your moisturiser which helps sensitve skin heal underneath – whilst also providing a protective barrier against the elements…
