2nd Bday Party Idea

Ladies our son is turning 2 in January. And im starting to think of party ideas. We have a fairly big backyard, so last year we done the BIG WIGGLES bouncing castle. This year i was thinking maybe The Baby Animal Farm in the backyard?? Do you think 2 is too young for this? I have already been to about 10 parties this year at those Play gyms and i am totally over them! What do you think? Thanks

sounds like a great idea the animal farm, but make sure the animals arent super big. or it could be dangerous. maybe a cowboy theme to match it?

i love making and decortaing the cakes. it`s so much fun, hard work but worth it. i do it when he`s asleep in the day and then i make sure nanna and poppy are here to take him out so i can work in peace.
wiggles is a great idea. you could even make it a wiggles dress up theme, by getting all the kids to wear a t-shirt the colour of their fave wiggle, get a picture of Dorothy or Wags (?) and do pin the tail or hat on the character and you could easily get pics printed off and stick them around. good times. 🙂

The animal farm idea sounds great, I have been to 1 of these parties and they are so much fun watching the kids little eyes light up when they see the animals. I always just get the bakery to make the cake, it`s just so much easier, lol.

Ahahaha Gumby i remember him! Good idea with wiggles cd with pass the parcel.
But theres no way i will be making any cakes! It will be a flat cake. LOL

Hey, you could play a wiggles cd and play pass the parcel.

I remember when my son turned 4, he wanted a Gumby cake. Had no books on making Gumby so had to do it in my head. lol Gumby had one thick leg though….but hey they were 3 years old and loved it (didn`t notice the leg).

By the time he starts school Kylie……that`s when you will be thinking of party ideas…..believe me. lol

Lol Jatz slow pass the parcel .
Princess 75 Lion cake impressive!! i couldnt do that. For my sons 1st bday i got an IGGLEPIGGLE cake made for him. This year i think it will be a WIGGLES cake he loves the wiggles. Yeah i thought they might be a bit to young for the Baby Animals. But my son just loves Animals.
Maybe i we can just take him to the Zoo on his bday, and have a bday party just at home.
Maybe just a little blow up pool we can set up, very hot in January.

    Thanks for suggestions :)))

    Hey Kylie,
my little man just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago. being the obsessive compulsive mum i am, i decided on his theme for his 2nd b.day, the week before his 1st.
we did a little jungle theme this year. i made a lion cake and had jungle animals around the table, you know the plastic ones, had jungle themed plates and napkins, cups etc, pin the trunk on the Elephant, jungle goodie bags.
you can get a picture of jungle animals too (like monkeys) print off heaps and stick them around.
i did want to do a dress up theme but figured too many kids in loin cloths was always going to get messy. hahaha
i thought of Barnyard Babies but think it`s a bit young, so he`s getting that for his 3rd birthday when he`s old enough to remember a bit more and not be over enthusiastic with the animals because i`m going to try to get pony rides too and i think they`re better when the kids are a bit bigger. just a thought.

Wow, when my kids turned 2, we just had a party at home with the usual pass the parcel, (it was very slow indeed lol), but the kids loved it especially as every child got a small gift on unwrapping a layer of paper.

It wasn`t till they were in school that we did the outside parties at MacDonalds, Take them to the movies, Time-Zone etc. etc.
