Website to App

Hi guys! Has there been a discussion about moving the website to an app??

I feel like this would be perfect to move into an app.

What is everyone’s option??

You must hire some professional to do this job don’t risk your site

I always access BH though my pc and would prefer using a website.

I too access BH mostly through a computer/laptop & the few times I have used it on my phone have been less than satisfactory tbh (I can’t even access the forum if I use Firefox on my Android phone, but I suspect that may be in part due to using an ad blocker extension…weird thing is I use the same one on my laptop & I can access the forums just fine). I’d rather the BH techies fix all the issues with the website first before they even dream of creating an app.

I primarily access BH through a desktop computer/laptop. However, on the few occasions I have accessed BH through my phone, I didn’t like the experience and having it on an app isn’t going to change my mind if similar apps are anything to go by.

Implementing an app isn’t an easy process. There are several platforms that the app would need to be able to work on, e.g. iOS, Android, Windows. iOS has the most stringent requirements for approval. I don’t really see why we would need an app other than for accessibility while on the go and I don’t personally see a reasonable business case for a website like BH, which is primarily a database of reviews.

I hate apps. I’m running out of room on my phone for all the app icons I have. Apps are ALWAYS problematic. I have installed so many apps only to uninstall them almost immediately due to poor performance.

I access Beautyheaven on a computer. I recently acquired a new phone and I can barely navigate my way around many websites, so I’m not sure if I would use an app.

Kassalee mentioned the glitches on this website. There are so many glitches that haven’t been fixed since Beautyheaven’s platform was changed a long time ago. I feel that these glitches need to be sorted out before an app was available.

That’s very interesting!! I have never used this website on my computer I wonder how different it is..

      Thanks for letting me know!

Many features on the website aren’t visible on the phone.

I do know in the reviews, the trial team badge is not visible and in the articles it doesn’t show the author or the date – you have to rely on the dates on comments to know if it’s a “new” article or a recycled one!

These are a couple that come to mind and I know there are others but these really irk me!

Not something top of my list. I’d rather see all the glitches fixed up on the website.

Would rather use the full website. Years ago when the website was made phone friendly, we could still log on and get the full website – but that stopped.

An app would be nice but it would need to be seemless integration of the app and the website working together and that’s where it gets tricky I believe

There have been some comments and requests about an app especially when BH tech does an upgrade.
