My DVD player won’t work! Help!

Hi guys, I need help, my DVD player is broken.

I have a panasonic DMREZ48V
It’s fan doesn’t turn on when you turn on the dvd player (I’m not sure if that’s normal for that model). It’s DVD drawer doesn’t come out without catching on the top of the dvd case. But worst of all, one of these two error codes will show up, U80 or U81.
As soon as one of those error messages comes up, I can’t fix the DVD drawer because it won’t play anything (DVD’s or videos).
Does anyone have any advice?
P.S: please don’t tell me that my DVD player is a piece of junk (I know that already 🙂 )

    Just did a quick google and it appears to be from about 2009 so safe to guess it’s out of warranty?

    Sounds like it’s time to put it out to pasture from what you’ve written though sadly. Shame that nothing is built to last these days!

    Hey Alycia! Sorry to hear about your DVD. Not that there aren’t some tech savvy ladies hiding out here at BH but you just might find an answer quicker on whirlpool.net.au It’s where I got help with a router once and they know all sorts of stuff there.

    Sorry I couldn’t help! I will however be ready to jump into action should you ever need help with repressing a broken eyeshadow or something 😛
