Help Beautyheaven Gang!
I haven’t used mobile phone in many many years….still have none. But…soon will need one.
So, have no idea how things work. Where to start. Will buy phone , but need plan to suit personal use: calls, messaging, checking maps from time to time (not too often), checking emails/Facebook messages/Beautyheaven notifications (obviously)-when on the go/not at home only. That is it.
Suggestions please!
And what everyone suggests on which phone to get . Do not care the price. Just plans need to be as low as possible. I am not a huge user of the stuff, mostly need for calls and to be reached (people are complaining a lot, family and friends…that they can not call me on a whim. Ah, too bad )

Question: do I really need a front glass screen cover for the new toy?
I got the protective case (x-doria…so if I drop it , it is ok), but nothing for the front. Unsure if it is really needed
Edit: scratch that (no pun intended)….just saw , s10+ comes with screen protector on it already. Cool….

hahah….phone is actually “”Prism Green”” ( teal in real life). My nails navy. Unfortunately Aussie market does not have Prism Blue (only US I think, but they don`t have teal one) , I would get that one for sure! My fave colour!

Ooh, nice! I`ve always wanted a Samsung galaxy but always end up buying something cheaper which I`m usually disappointed by. Next time I`ll splash out. 🙂

Look, first time ever buying mobile phone, so better it be good one. Not that I am going to be buying these things every year ….it is going to stay for a while haha
Depends what you need them for. I really did not need this stuff, just a phone…but , since I`m loving gadgets….ah well, why not buy a nice toy while I`m at it ¯ _ (ツ)_ /¯

I have been using Aldi now for a few years. They are on the Telstra network so signal is usually better than others and not as expensive as Telstra. You have to have your own phone though. The monthly plans are quite cheap generally but when there is an offer for a 1 year subscription this is usually fantastic. The last one cost $99 for the year which included all call costs and sms and also included 1000gb of data. I usually use my home wi fi for data but occasionally use the mobile and there is always more than enough and with wi fi hotspots around you can also get lots of free wi fi if needed.
My mobile is an iPhone which was a replacement new phone but Aldi sim works in any phone as long as it isn’t locked into a network when you purchase it. It has the option of a small or micro sim too. Setting up the account can be a bit of a pain with their identification requirements but eventually it is a very good plan, especially for meeting your needs which are basically the same as my usage too.

I just checked, yes it is 1000 gb for the year, not based on a per month usage. You can also buy extra data if you are running out. They offer these specials randomly once a year. My plan has only used 8.5 gb and it runs out in September so I have lots of data left. Keep your eye out on Aldi as they only have it on sale for about 5-6 weeks when it does become available. You have to buy the sim pack from them, then port your number across, don`t activate their sim though. Their monthly plans are currently as low as $15 with 2.5 gb data, check out online. They also use the 4g Telstra network so the signal is as good as with Telstra, providing you are in an area that Telstra is good but you can`t use the Telstra air hotspots.

Optus have a great prepaid “Prepaid Epic Value” which I have. Its’s $180 for 365 days with unlimited national calls 60gb data. Works out to be $15 a month and approx 5 gb data so if you don’t use much that will be plenty. I don’t use my phone much either but want to know I can have data if I need it and phone calls unlimited.
I love it as you can have it for 12 months and not worry about needing to recharge all the time. I’ve had it since January this year and love it. Just hope come recharge time they still have the same bundle to re-charge for another year.
As for phones, I have an apple Iphone but starting to really hate it as always having problems with backing up my images so won’t recommend them to anyone again as constant issues which are annoying!!

No worries. It`s the only one I found that gives you lots of stuff for a small price rather than having to pay at least $30 or so each month for like 2 years on plan and then other prepaid options are similar or may be a little less but you don`t get as much included. Good Luck!

One more thing with the latest galaxy phones Yoh they come with Microsoft office (excel, word, powerpoint etc..) and you can just plug them in a dock and can work as a computer (you need a bigger screen ofcourse to plug onto)
edit to add you can get MS office in the latest iphones too
