Things Not Being Available on Beautyheaven to Review

Sorry I wasn’t sure which category to put this in!
Anyway I thought I should start this thread because so often I go on here to review something but it isn’t on the website. I think it might be a common problem so I thought it would be good if we help inform the Beautyheaven team of what is missing from Beautyheaven’s review section.

I’ll start. I couldn’t find:
Real Techniques multitask powder brush, eye brush and cheek brush which come as a set with a case
Also the ELF powder highlighter

Please note I am not criticising the Beautyheaven team or website I just thought it would help if they know what’s missing .

So a heads up I emailed beautyheaven and they added a product to a listing today so Im sure that might help too.
That’s good to hear beautybabe about Thursday plantation- but try the bh crew too. I think sometimes things get missed and no one lets them know.

A lot of brands actually out source all their PR and Marketing so it may not be the companies managing the BH listing but the PRs.

PrettyPrincess, thanks for letting us know that some brands outsource their marketing, customer service etc. This explains why some brands don`t know what I`m talking about when I contact them.

Maybelline range by Gigi. Would love to review it as I got the products recently. Hopefully will be added soon to the site.

Beautybabe140194, you may wish to contact Maybelline to ask them to add their Gigi range to BH. There are lots of brands on BH that need to update their products, and Maybelline is just one of them.

I have emailed Thursday Plantation about getting a product I bought, on the site. Fingers crossed. I doubt Maybelline would reply if I sent them an email as I have contacted them before and not got a desired response (I previously contacted them about a product I bought being oxidised – and they basically said I need to get colour matched when that is the colour I have always bought and it has never been yellow).

Good idea, thanks Petal. Did not realise it is the brands that update it. Will give them an email, hopefully I don’t get the same response as ray_jay…what is beautyheaven. Haha life 🙂

If you are on Facebook, you may get a better response than if you email the company.

Good suggestion. I got a response from Thursday Plantation that they will try to get the product on the site within two weeks, yay.

Given up on emailing Maybelline, so maybe Facebook is the go 🙂

I asked MAC to add a product listing for some of their limited edition last year that I received for a present. They were like whats beautyheaven. Oh dear. LOL.

Its interesting that their are quite a lots of high end hair products/ brands on beautyheaven but hardly any high end skincare.

If I was a beauty brand or owned a beauty brand I’d fork out to get my products on BH….I always hear about BH over social media and the BH name & logo is now appearing on quite a few TV ads for beauty products…..

  • I agree!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I’ve tried to review some of my fave brands: aesop, chantecaille, and thank you only to not be able to locate their ranges. Maybe I am doing something incorrect?

That’s interesting, thanks for starting this thread Sarah-may as it has answered some things I have been wondering about also!

That’s quite interesting. Whenever I’m looking to do a review on BH I always do a search and if the product doesn’t come up as a product I’ll start a forum to talk about the brand/product or leave a comment if there’s already a thread open.

Great insight of how it works! Was always wondering why some items were missing from brands

Great topic Sarah-may. I wish we could upload our own “missing” products however I do understand bh have to have commercial agreements with manufacturers to be able to pay their employees.

Thanks for all the good information Petal and Sarah-may for posting. as usual Bh ladies have come to our rescue. I admit I have looked for a couple of products that I would have loved to review only to find they were not listed. I know a couple of Body Shop items that are not down and now I know why. I can see how showing a companies full range might be expensive and /or hard for them to do especially if they have an extensive range like Body Shop.
The suggestion that we can contact the products them selves and ask them if they would put them on BH site so we can review them is a brilliant idea.

Shaper, for products not listed on BH, you can review The Body Shop`s products on their website. Of course, you won`t receive points for doing so.
