The best places to get Botox – leave your negative comments at the door

Hello!

Have you had Botox? Did you like the place where you got it and would recommend to a friend? If so I’d love to know about it!

After all, with any treatment (especially injectables) – if you’ve made the decision to do it, you should most definitely go to a reputable and safe place.

So please let me know of any places in Australia you would recommend based on personal experience, and if you’d rather remain anonymous, you can email your response to info@beautyheaven.com.au.

Thanks and look forward to hearing!

I’m petrified of needles but I do know a few ladies that have had botox. I don’t know if I would or not.

My Mum has it at a neurologist for medical reasons for a neck disorder, she says she needs to have some in her face too!

It has helped her medical condition though, I know others who have had it for severe sweating and they say it has helped so so it looks like it is helpful for medical conditions as well as for cosmetic purposes.

I think I would be a bit scared to have it done, plus it’s something you need to keep having done to maintain results.

I have done it twice and was very happy with the results. My situation has now changed and it’s not in the budget.
My first consultation was with a GP who owned the business. Then I had a Nurse injecting the botox. She said this was her 2nd job and also worked in the Mater Hospital in Townsville in the Neurology Dept.
Apparently in QLD you have to have either a Medical or Science Degree(not sure what type) to be able to provide botox injections.
I’d certainly recommend botox. You will need to discuss with the injector what look you want. I went for a natural look which just refreshes your look (e.g. crows feet; marionette lines). I wouldn’t go for a full on all over look where you can’t move your facial muscles.

      Hi cityglenda!

Thanks so much for sharing – do you remember the name of the business?

I can`t remember the name & I have just googled the street they were in but they must have moved. They were in Flinders Street East, Townsville

I’m still to try it but curious, would love to read everyone’s suggestions because the fear of the wonky brow is so real and I had a close encounter before.

I went for a consult to this place on Eastbourne St in Windsor. I can’t remember the name of the place but I do remember I found it as an offer (each injection for 9$ or something), the place was nice, the person who saw me was lovely BUT, they were so eager to get it done, like “oh I have some time right now, you wanna do it now?” put me off completely, like, rushing your decision at a first consult was a real bad red flag for me. I did not do it and that’s as far as my curiosity has gotten me.

Yes, I’m not sure that “I have some time right now, you wanna do it now” would do them any favours from my perspective either. Sure if you were merely asking the cost and were a seasoned user, but even then I feel like there are probably some more precautionary measures that should happen in first consultation at a new place. Ie. when was your last treatment?

There are so many places that do it now, you would get a variety of prices if you rang around. Beauticians , special clinics who seem to only specialise in injectables , a doctor at my local medical centre does it.

I also don’t have the cash to spare and my husband and kids are very much against the idea.

Too funny, I was just discussing botox with an old school friend yesterday and we were seriously thinking about giving it a go. The thing holding me back was getting a bad job and having wonky eyebrows for three months!

ps: would put my hand up for a trial 🙂

Haha, that’s my fear too. That and just having an adverse reaction since my body seems so sensitive to seemingly innocuous things and totally tolerant of or immune to harsher ones. Although, always unpredictable so I just never know.

A friend at work gets it done and I’d never have known if she didn’t tell me. She was offering to refer me on if I was interested, I’ve just not been brave enough to try it (nor have the cash to spare).

MerryGoRound did your friend tell you how much she pays? I wonder if it is more expensive if you go to a specialist? I guess it would be because you would have a consultation fee on top of the service?

I really think that there are a lot of cowboys out there that don`t have the expert qualifications that I would trust to jab me. In saying that every year it is getting more tempting!

No, but I’m sure she would if I asked
