The Beauty Bank – Donate unwanted beauty products to women in need.

I’ve recently heard about a woman called Jen Armstrong who is running a charity that collects unwanted toiletries and beauty products for women in need. There was an article on the ABC website –

I really like the sound of this one and what with all the samples and beauty boxes we all get now and then I am guessing a few of us might be interested in sending the things we aren’t going to use to The Beauty Bank. I haven’t sent anything yet but thought I’d post it here in case anyone is doing some spring cleaning and aren’t sure what to do with their excess stuff.

I’m bumping this thread about a charity that collects beauty goodies for people in need. The organisation is called The Beauty Bank and it is located in Sydney:

Have just had a look at the website, what a fantastic idea, wish there was something similar in Sth East Qld as I have lots of unused products I would like to donate.

What a great idea! I’m doing a huge clear out of makeup and toiletries (I’m addicted to spending money on them and have wayyyy too much) and I know who I’m donating to! xx

I’d like to bump this. Thank you dollhouse for sharing this. My question: is this charity still running. I live in the UK and quite honestly I would love to be able to use my points for something worthwhile and I think you have found me just the right one. If I really work hard and earn more points here I might have a nice Christmas package for the Beauty Bank – what do you think ladies?

What a great idea. I’ve just started to “like” The Beauty Bank on Facebook and have shared it to all my friends too. Thanks Dollhouse.

Yesterday a lovely anonymous person has donated (as well as manicure sets) funds to set up a PO Box for The Beauty Bank!
And today on The Beauty Bank facebook page….

“It’s official, The Beauty Bank now has a PO Box! The address is PO Box 991, Sutherland NSW 1499.
You can post up to 22kgs if you are less than 50km away for less than $10!
Get posting people. If you would prefer to drop by personally then please don’t hesitate to call or message me for my address”

The Beauty Bank definitely is in my local area!

thanks for the address Kassalee, I’m in Melbourne so would have to post. But does anyone know of any of these types of charities in Melbourne?

New Day Box is in Melbourne 🙂

I also would love to acknowledge *Miss Danger* for having the bravery to leave her situation of domestic violence. She is such a sweet, caring and beautiful soul. We have become online friends, and I always appreciate her loving and supportive emails. She is such a treasure!

Awww honey, you got me all emotional! I have to say that I’m soooo glad I met you, I love hearing from you and it’s so awesome to have a ‘beauty buddy’ to get excited about products with!

Totes, baby girl. Your care package was sent yesterday, I had flat out forgot to message you about it. It’s coming in one of those red Aus Post bags so hopefully it doesn’t split. A whole variety of things in there. What you don’t need or what doesn’t suit, pass on the good vibes to someone you may come across whom might need a little pep just like your kind self.

    Kisses Danger x
