Questions and feedback for BH staff

Hello all

I first started expressing some feedback under a different forum topic and found out that there are many other members thinking the same. I thought (well, it was actually Trish‘s idea but it’s a good idea!) I would start this thread so that we can post all our questions and feedback for BH staff so that it is convenient for them to read, instead of having them all across the different sections of the forum.

My feedback relates to the lack participation in the dedicated forum thread by trial team members. It seems to me that in each trial those who participated in the forum discussion are the minority – when the trial team reviews are published we realised that there are actually a LOT MORE trial team members than it first appeared. I think that discussions during the trial period are really helpful – it makes the trial team members more engaging, and by sharing the different experiences it potentially helps other trial team members to achieve better outcomes (and hence, potentially less negative reviews). I would love to see that the participation in the dedicated forum threads made compulsory as a trial team requirement.

    I don’t know why our replies to latest post are not showing up. Not totally buried but under “This Week” filter again.

      I’m having A LOT of trouble posting in the thread for the BH event last weekend…have tried posting twice now & my replies aren’t showing up. Even if I filter it under “This Week”, it still won’t show.

        So much stuff I write on the forum does’nt show up either, and BH never reply to my emails. It’s really frustrating!

    Hi BH (hopefully someone from BH will read this and reply to me),

    I have a number of queries that are piling up. I have been emailing you since the 2nd June, 2022 and I have not received a response to any of my emails……..

    1st Query – On the old system, I had completed approx. 1000 reviews. Why are
    there only 268 under my account? Where did the rest of my work
    go? They took time and energy.

    2nd Query – I took part in the trial team for L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler 2.5%
    [Hyaluronic Acid + Caffeine] Eye Serum, which was due on 2nd
    June, 2022. I completed my review by then but for some reason
    I was unable to be logged in AND post my review. I was emailing
    you from the 2nd, with my review attached, hoping you’d be able
    to post it for me. I emailed you 8 times between the 2nd and the
    11th June, 2022 regarding this review because I did not want to
    be removed from the trial teams. Eventually on the 11th June, I
    logged in to BH and was able to post my review. Still heard
    nothing back from you guys though. I even messaged you via FB
    and NO REPLY!!! In short…..I completed my review and follow up
    survey on time, so I just want to ensure that my name is still on
    the Trial Team list.

    3rd Query – I just participated in the 2022 Biggest Beauty Giveaway Trial
    Team!!!! I completed and posted all 8 reviews on time. But I’ve just
    checked on my account and there are only 7 of the 8 reviews
    posted, the review on the Ardell Light As Air false lashes is
    missing. I did post the review though!

    4th Query – In the 2022 Biggest Beauty Giveaway Trial Team!!!!, we were
    asked to do a public post of the Kiehl’s Retinol Skin- Renewing
    Daily Micro-Dose Serum on Instagram for a bonus 50 reward
    points. I did this and emailed you through a screenshot. I noticed
    that the 50 points had not been added to my account as yet. I
    may be asking a bit early but I didn’t want to forget about it.

    5th Query – I was looking at my points history and noticed that on the 11th
    July, you deducted 5 points from me saying it was for a spam
    comment (as shown below in copy and paste)

    I’m a founding member of BH and have never, in its 15 years,
    posted any spam comments, EVER!!! So I ask that you please,
    reinstate those 5 points.

    6th Query – Last query but most important one. Where is BH??? I remember
    being able to get in contact with someone almost immediately
    and that you used to interact with these forums consistently.Now,
    I feel like I’ve been deserted. I have not been able to contact
    anyone since the 2nd June. That’s a month.And the questions I
    have are important ones, they’re important to me. Please, if
    anyone from BH sees this…give me some answers….please.

      @Iluvfacialz A lot of people have lost reviews. I believe BH answered before that the reviews are not gone but in the backend somewhere. This is really a question for their devs so quite possible they have not answered for this reason, because they can’t (the dev team is likely external company working for BH) and are still working on it. This issue does not only affect you.

      I think your second query is already answered. Your review is already posted on your profile.

      Depending on what you wrote, your review for the false lashes may be pending because you gave it a negative review or there was some aspect about it that they needed to confer with the brand. I would not automatically assume it has been missed, given you claim you posted all your reviews on the same day and the remainder of your reviews have been published.

      As far as I know, no else has been allocated the 50 points for the Insta post as yet. > EDIT: After writing this, I noticed I received the 50 points today so check your points history.

      Don’t know what to say about the spam penalty. I’m sorry to read it happened. If you want your points reinstated, you may need to track you activity on that day and provide proof. I don’t really thinking pleading your case achieves anything. There are other members who have also been similarly penalised and have not been able to get their points reinstated.

      I have already answered the last question before.

        I just checked and have’nt received my Instagram points , the review still has’nt been published yet either. Does anyone know if we still get tracked post for a trial product?

    Did everyone automatically get their Birthday points in the last year? I’ve emailed (mentioning another issue re the site) but didn’t get any response.

    C’mon guys ………..cheer up! . We have to stay positive. . Their is a trial happening right now for QV facial moisturiser so some things are still happening 😀

      I agree Lisa. I wouldn`t hassle the staff at bh about getting a trial. However I would say it`s possible still. I am still getting one at the moment on beautycrew. They also seem to be running a lot. I would say a rewards room is a while off, however think of how big our points balances will all be by then

    Haven’t got any emails for Invitations to Trials at all since the Country went into Lockdown with COVID-19 wondering if I will for the rest of this year.

        I don`t have much hope that anything will get much better soon. With this lock down and people now working from home most of the time, we probably wont get any points or even a Rewards Room if this virus keeps going. I feel sorry for the staff at BH as they must find it hard to try and help people especially if they are working from home. Makes life very difficult for everyone.

    Bonus points still missing from certain reviews so I think still a system issue.

    • I think I reviewed 4 and received bonus for 3 products . Not bad considering the points are added manually! I could have asked but i am too lazy. I didn`t ask for my birthday bonus points 6 months ago either!

      Bonus points didn`t work for a very long time. We have been emailing for manual adds. I got lazy and don`t want to be bothered any more. Last Glosscars no bonus pts for 4 product I reviewed. Meh.
      I think it is even harder as everyone works from home. So bonuses will not work at all, not just random ones like in past.

        Yeh, thats only if you pick it up at the time as last time I did print some pages and got a few points added. If you got time Yohanna, I would do it only becuase I`m always interesred in the Rewards Room and it will add up. Only if you have nothing to do ….

    That is so nice of Sam and of course B H to be such a support for us in this terrible time. As you suggested anything to help people who are home bound to while away the time has got to be so very helpful. So thanks again to all the staff and members of this wonderful site.

    I haven’t seen anything about the Glosscars either 🙁 I have had my reviews accepted and awarded point for them though 🙂 🙂 Not sure if we will get points for any comments on posts though?
