Mecca Reviews

Hi Beauties!
I have noticed that BH does not have many brands that are found it Mecca so it is difficult when you don’t have that space to share your thoughts or review the products. Yes there is Mecca Chit Chat, But not all of us have FB.
What are your fave Mecca products at the moment? Are there any products you are currently having on your wishlist but would like some thoughts on them?

I’m so proud that I haven’t shopped at mecca for so long now. I found other online spaces to buy rms nars and other items. I was really disappointed with mecca recently with the prices and stock

I haven’t used much in regards to the products available at Mecca, however, the products I have used and will consider repurchasing are:

Glow recipe cleansing balm – this has lasted me ages and removed makeup pretty well.

Dermalogica clear start cleanser – don’t use this everyday but it’s good if you’re looking for a deeper cleanse

Hourglass ambient lighting finishing powder – I purchased the travel size and have been using daily for months. Still have heaps of product left.

I have tried the Drunk Elephant lala retro moisturiser but don’t think it’s worth the price tag. It was a good moisturiser but far to expensive. If you’re looking for a comparable moisturiser that’s fragrance free, try tarte”s baba bomb moisturiser.

I’m dying for Mecca to stock NARS Euphoria Face Dew Highlighter. I would also love to get some of the Westman Atelier stuff. I’ve had my eye on the Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlighter in shade Peau de Peche for so long. The texture is insane. I tried it in-store a couple of times. It is like soft butter.

There is also a new Chantacaille range that should hit soon. I would love to try the rose oil as well but it is so expensive!

Cosmetics 27 Baume 27 Bio-Energising Cell Repair Balm is also on the hit list but I have a tonne of moisturisers to get through first. I think this one is a cult favourite on the Mecca Chit Chat group – I left this group a while ago though.

What I love from Mecca right now and for a long time are the mini highlighter (https://www.mecca.com.au/rms-beauty/mini-luminizer-x-quad/I-045667.html) and lip2cheek quads (https://www.mecca.com.au/rms-beauty/lip2cheek-glow-quad/I-048386.html) from RMS Beauty. I have both and carry them with me everywhere in my tech pouch. I have quite a few of the RMS Beauty pots as well and they’re portable. The Savannah Peach Collection is my favourite: https://www.mecca.com.au/rms-beauty/savannah-peach-collection/I-036280.html. I pretty much buy whatever comes out of RMS Beauty when it launches at Mecca.

I also like the Kosas blushes and highlighter duos, and own almost all of them. I can’t recall from the top of my head which ones I am missing. I didn’t actually purchase these from Mecca but they are stocked at Mecca. I bought them from Cult Beauty when there was a sale on blushes a while ago.

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peels are otherwise one of my favourite skincare products ever. I don’t always purchase these from Mecca though and always the x60 packettes. <3

I`ve just looked up some of the brands you mentioned as I`ve not heard of them before. I went on Mecca and looked at the Chantecaille range and saw the Luminescent Eye Shades and omg the colours are stunning and so shimmery.

I seen influencers rave about the Drunk Elephant Whipped Cream if anyone has tried that let me know what it’s like please as I’m never sure if influencers only love products for the free stuff and pay cheques that come with it.

I don`t really like Drunk Elephant (I think the founder`s behaviour on social media is awful as well as her misinformation and fearmongering marketing) but I nonetheless have tried a few of their range. I have used both the original formulation and the current formulation of the Whipped Cream which now includes a ceramide complex. It`s fragrance-free and medium-thick but applies quite light. It is as good as they say it is but it is terribly overpriced. The only thing I have used that is comparable is a Japanese ceramide cream which is about x10 better but harder to source and expensive as well (called Tunemakers Ceramide Cream).

Oww I didn`t know about this stuff. I`ll have a look. Thank you.

I like it, it is quite good if you have sensitive skin as it barely has a fragrance.
There is small version of it 15-30mL from what I remember, it is a good starting point especially if you are not willing to commit to the full size ones. I don`t as it is too expensive.
You are right with the influencers part, some though are genuine for example Matilda on Video.
Others do it simply for followers and $$$$$

Hi Shali, thanks for replying to me. I do love products that don`t have much of a fragrance or are fragrance-free. I do have sensitive skin or should I say I have sensitive skin depending on the product. Some irritate my skin some are totally fine. I might just give it a go. No harm in getting a small one and trying it as we all know trialling different products is the only way to know what`s good and what`s bad for our own skin.

I will start; So my fave products at Mecca atm are; The Go-to range ; I can literally sing its’ praises from the roof tops. I have tried several of its products and I have got the results I want! The Mecca Cosmetica Antioxidant Serum, another gem that I started using recently, Drunk Elephant Lala retro cream (though I only use the mini size as that is in my budget),

Has anyone used these products? What are your current faves at Mecca? What do you recommend?
