BH Trial Teams........What to Expect?
BH Trial Teams........What to Expect?
Hey Everyone, I recently received an invitation to participate in a BH trial team. I’m relatively new to BH and haven’t been involved in any trial teams so I’m not quite sure what to expect. Are the products/ relevant information disclosed before we accept the invitation? I would appreciate any input regarding trial teams and your experience. Also, let me know if you also received the email.
Thanks everyone!

Every girls trial dream!
Let's be honest, being lucky enough to trial these three products via the beauty heaven trial team is every girls dream!
Uplifting scented moisturiser
I am a huge Eau Dynamisante fan and when ever I wear the fragrance, I always get comments. I purchased the Eau Dynamisante moisturiser to compliment my fragrance.
Smells like a holiday!
I was so lucky to be given the opportunity to trial this product via the beauty heaven trial team.

Yes, you will normally know what the product is before you need to accept. Often there is a dedicated forum post where you can chat with fellow trial participants to help you navigate through your first trial. The exception is if you are testing a product pre-launch, then there is no forum and can be no online chatter about trialling the product.
You need to complete a review on all products in the trial by the due date—150 word minimum, instead of the usual 50 word minimum—and also complete a post-trial survey. Links will be provided in email you receive at start of trial, and rules are reiterated in a letter that accompanies the products.
It’s all very easy to do, just follow the steps in the BH communications, and ask questions on the forum if you are unsure about anything at all. The community are always happy to answer, or in the case of the trials without a forum, just send an email back to the BH team member your trial communications come from.
Thank you for that very helpful info MGM. I’ve been a member for 8 years and you are relatively new on here and I learnt so much - all the info in the one place - Bh should use this!
Eatasnickers, congratulations on your first trial! I'm excited and happy for you because I remember what it was like being accepted into my first trial on BH last year. It was fun to receive the products and to try them. Trial invitations don't come around all the time for all members, so enjoy your trial!
MGM's instructions are great!
If there is an embargo on the product or products, you are strictly forbidden from discussing it online or in person with anyone until you are told to or until the results of the trial team for the product or products is published.
The email for the trial will include a statement saying whether the product or products have an embargo so read that carefully.
Congratulations Eatasnickers, how exciting your first trial.
Definately get involved in the dedicated trial team forum if/when it is created. It's really nice to be able to share and hear of everyone's experiences as you go through a trial together!
It seems your questions have been answered already and you have been provided with some good advice, so I'll just stick with "congrats on your first invite!"
Thanks everyone for replying. I guess I’m a bit confused since the only information provided in the email, is that we will be trialing two unmarked products. Also mentions that we are required to take a “selfie”.
Ooh a ‘blind’ product trial sounds exciting and novel. I expect you’ll get more information with the products themselves, but it does sound like an embargoed product, so like Ethelinde says you probably won’t be able to discuss in forum (or anywhere else). So if you still have questions once you receive the products you should direct them to the BH staff via email only.
Ah yes, I know which trial you are referring to. Normally we are informed of what products we are testing, but I believe this one has something to do with trialling two competing products (or something along those lines). I assume we will find out more once the products arrive.
Update, I went to accept the invitation and all the places for the trial have been filled......my bad! Haha oh well I was a little bit unsure anyway because usually I would at least like to know what type of product it is, whether it’s a cleanser, treatment and so on. Thanks again for the replies though, was super helpful!
Oh oops, yeah you need to accept the invitation very quickly as there are limited places available. Hope you'll get another opportunity soon!
Oh goodluck for next time
Good luck for your next trial invite. This forum sure is helpful with info :)
Oh no, what a shame. You do have to be quick to apply. I missed out on one recently and it was only a few hours since they’d sent the invite. Hope you get another opportunity soon.
Thanks everyone, it was a good learning experience though and at least I know for next tine :)
Looks like everyone has answered but Congrats on the trial it's always exciting getting your first one!
