What are the best sunscreens for teenage skin?

I’m now in my late teens and don’t have oily skin, but sun screen makes my life miserable.
I don’t know if it’s the extra oil that causes my face to break out. But in general, my face and sun screen don’t mix.
Does anyone have any tricks or brand recommendations that I could try?

Mineral powders often offer SPF 15 or more. They are perfect for oily skin 🙂

I used to apply sunscreen spf 50+ all the time on my husband and my kids before going to the beach and even golfing and they still got burnt and looked like tomatoes. I never use it on myself because I find it very messy on my skin. The best thing to use is coconut oil because it really works. You will not get sun burnt at all. My husband and son go to golf in the middle of the day when it is very hot for hours and when they come home their face is not red like a tomato. Coconut oil will also get rid of any scars and heal any wounds and sun sports. Give it a go and you will be doing yourself a big favour. Hope this helps you.Good luck.

    Hi Alycia!

I’m right there with you when it comes to wearing sunscreen on my face. I have combination skin (with an oily T-zone) so I have to wear a really lightweight non-greasy moisturiser with sunscreen – I love the Paula’s Choice Resist Youth-Extending Daily Mattifying Fluid SPF15. You can find out more info about it here:

I don’t even notice I’m wearing sunscreen when I have it on!

I hope you find one that works for you!
