Older skin BURNING easily!

I am so sick of this. It has only been the start of summer. AND already I am burnt. Last weekend I was at the beach for 3 hours. I put sunscreen on twice. I am now burnt and blistered everywhere. On my back there is a strip that looks like someone got a blowtorch and burnt a strip on my back. ANd it hurts!! I never used to burn…but over the last year or so (since i turned 30) I seem to burn so easily. I am using 30+ and I hate going to the beach to cover up (although seems i am going to have to) because the beach is about swimming and having fun in your bikini…
Any advice would be great!!! Thanks

Do you put enough on I was watching a show the other day that said you should put 1 teaspoon on each leg,arm front and back and another on your face. If you don`t you are not getting the full SPF factor

After reading about the medications I looked mine up on the internet…and guess what I am taking one that says STAY OUT OF THE SUN …you would think my chemist would tell me that…Anyways I don`t sunbake I don`t really care if i am tanned or not I just love to go out in the sun and water. But I have decided that now i am going to cover up. I even went and bought a huge hat and a kaftan. Thanks for the advice guys.. I don`t want sun cancer either…

If you use any of the pills I think they can change your skin a little, some of the effects on my family member were that she had darker pigment and burned more easilly. Maybe this is your case as well? But yeah, dag-out on clothes because it`s better to be alive and healthy 🙂

I`d rather be daggy then have skin cancer 🙂
There are so many cute kaftan/shirts you can wear on the beach now days. When I`m not in the water (which is most of the time) I like to wear a light cotton shirt. My kids are always hatted up and covered with a rashy. When I go in the water I make sure I have plenty of sunscreen on – and reapply it when I hop out. I have two moles on my back too. Make sure your sunscreen isn`t out of date – if it is you will burn. If you sunbake (I don`t anymore) you need to get in to some shade soon as you can feel the heat – which can be as quickly as 10 minutes. I think the only advice is to make sure you use plenty of broad spectrum sunscreen and COVER up. Sorry if it`s not very glamorous – but neither is sunburn 🙂

I know it is daggy but I wear a rashy top now. I have moles on my back so I don`t want to risk any burning. I also have a rashy for my husband and our 5 month old baby, i don`t want him in the pool or beach with out it ever!
As for your burning more easily, are you taking and medications or eating something specific that you never used to?
