Now You Can Get Sun Protected Clothes Just From Your Closet

Hey girls,

I just had to share this amazing little product with you. So I’ve been wanting to purchase some sun protected clothes but the one’s they have on Aussie sites are horrendous and the only other site that has decent looking clothes comes from a site in America but crazy expensive. Anyways, after extensive amounts of researching I came across a product by Rit (its approved by the American Cancer Foundation) it’s a laundry treatment powder that has sun guard!

It puts an invisible shield into clothing that helps block more than 96% of the sun’s harmful rays from reaching your skin.

Anyways, I ordered some from this site http://www.createforless.com/Rit+Laundry+Treatment+Powder+Sun+Guard+1+oz/pid42551.aspx last week and just received it. I can’t wait to wash my clothes in this! Yes, I did look online for an Aussie site that sells this stuff but found nothing.

Okay, I’m off to do my first load of laundry so excited LOL

Great idea, hopefully it doesn’t wreck the fabrics or cause any allergies on the skin.

    Hi MJ,

    Longtime no see!!

Thanks for posting this…it is such a brilliant idea. I wonder how it would go on very thin light material? I suppose thats the type of thing yo would use it on as that would be what lets uv light through the clothes…I’m off to research it myself now!!

Hi hon, I know its been ages since I’ve been on here!

I actually bought this product for my thinner clothes and for scarves since I love draping this around my neck all season long. As you know I’m an avid sunblock wearer and having this product is an added bonus to protecting my skin. I find that I get too sweating in this Australian sun and my sunblock seems slip and slide away LOL hence why I’m so excited about this product!

I’ll let you girls know how I go with it. Its kinda gross here in Melbourne today so when it gets sunny I’ll be sure to test it out.

By the way hope all you girls are doing well and Happy New Year!!!!!

I agree, if anything we’re the ones who need it with this hot Australian sun!! I’ve never heard of this but it’s an interesting idea, would be keen to see if it works on really thin tops etc.

Wow that’s interesting! The things people come up with these days 🙂
Hopefully this will become popular in Australia as I think we Aussies need it!

I’ve never heard of suchh a thing…I find it hard to believe that is really works! It would be great to use on really thin things because they are nice to wear when its really hot but I always still need to sunscreen under them heaps of times a day or I get burnt through so in the end it’s not worth wearing something like that and I might as well wear something more protecting. I hope something like this gets released here as it does sound like a great idea!!
