Has anyone tried the Cancer Council Face Matte Moisturiser SPF 50

Hey Beauties,
I had recently noticed that Cancer Council has a facial moisturiser claiming to be a matte finish with sun protection of 50+

I don’t know whether this product is new or new packaging, but I don’t recall seeing this type of sunscreen before. It’s in a 75ml Tube with some pink detailing. Tried looking for some reviews but couldn’t find any. If you have used it I would love to hear your opinion. Also, if there are any other facial sunscreens that work well under makeup and provide good protection……let me know!

This topic is so old but I love the cancer council spf 50 matte! I use the tinted version instead of foundation and it holds up on my skin better than foundation does. I’ve tried so many sunscreens and even when they claimed to be matte, they did not work well with my oily skin. The cancer council matte spf 50 is now my holy grail. So glad I found it!

It might be convenient, but I’d recommend you use a sunscreen separately to a moisturiser: neither can work as effectively when combined. A UK study found that people miss more of their face when applying a moisturiser with SPF than if they apply sunscreen alone.

Experts also say that adding sunscreen to a moisturiser not only potentially dilutes the SPF, it also interferes with a moisturiser’s function. Moisturiser is designed to be absorbed into the skin to effectively hydrate the deeper layers, while sunscreen should sit on the skin and act as a defence between your face and the sun.

Applying them separately means they can both do their intended job as they should, without getting in each other’s way.

It is not new. My hubby used it about a year ago. He prefers the neutrogena dry touch. The cancer council one is ok but neutrogena is more matte.

I really hope someone has a good one to recommend! I’ve been using the Neutrogena SPF15 moisturizer and WOW does it irritate my eyes and make me shine in all the wrong ways.

No, Eatasnickers – I haven’t used this. I hope someone who has sees this thread.
