Your most multipurpose beuty product

Hello Lovelies

What’s your favorite multipurpose beauty product – natural products like coconut oil etc count too

Mine at the moment is Body shop almond hand and nail butter. It’s not up on BH for review yet but I totally love it. Best hand butter I’ve ever used, great for drt elbows and knees, can be used same as any other body butter and on a busy forgetful day I discovered that it can also be a decent lip balm 😛

I always come back to Paw Paw! I put it on dry patches all over my face and body, rashes, small wounds, burns and sunburns. In a pinch I’ve used it as highlighter and eyeshadow primer and to tame frizzy hair. Blisters, pimples, bugbites, scratches, scars, hands, feet, nails and cuticles. I’ve just started putting it behind my ears at night which is nice. Woah I sound insane but it is so soothing and healing!

I also second oils in general. I’m loving the Vitamin C oil from Kmart for $3 at the moment – great price and great for all over body.

Rosehip oil for dry patches of skin and hair, and eyebrow powder (I use essence) to fill in the eyebrows and I use the lighter shade as a crease colour and the dark colour to define the eye

Glycerin, hyaluronic acid serum, witch hazel, cocoa butter, shea butter, bicarb and cornflour.

I use them on my torso, face, limbs, scalp, in the bath and out of the bath.

I don’t add cornflour to the bath!

    Can I have a few?

Oils – remove makeup before cleansing, add moister to face, hands, body hair, added to foundation for a sheerer coverage, mixed with salt or sugar for a scrub

Mac Fix+ – prime and sets face for makeup, foil/intensify eyeshadows, mixed with pigments to make eyeliner, intensify highlighter also have used it to set eye makeup as my eyes are quite hooded

Marc Jacobs Dew Drops – prime face or mix with foundation for a glowy finish, highlighter, on eyes or especially as an inner corner highlight, mixed in with moisturiser for an all over body glow and buffed onto collar bones etc for more intense body highlighting

Mine would be Argan oil, good for the skin and for the hair.

    • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

@Karlie – I love argan oil but haven`t found a use for it yet that really suits me. Coconut oil works better for my curly hair – though I can mix it – but kinda lazy that way. And on skin I`m sticking to ready products for now as find them for effective.
Share some tips about how you use it? 🙂

      • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

My favourite Argan oil is the Silk Oil of Morocco pure Argan oil. It’s amazing. I use it as a facial oil after my serums before bed, I use it in my hair after washing and before blow drying and it cuts the dry time down. I use it as a moisturiser for my arms and legs, I use it on the eczema I get around my elbows, I use it on my lips when they are dry, on my heels when they feel rough. The best thing about this brand is that it absorbs so quickly with no oily residue.

Haven`t tried that before – sounds really good. Will check it out 🙂
        Thank you.

For me it’s coconut and almond oil, I use both as hair masks, to remove eye makeup, to make lip balms. With the coconut oil, I use it in the kitchen too. And almond oil I use it to tame flyaways. Shea butter is great too, I use it on my face and body, it’s great for really dry skin plus it is thick enough to use as lip balm if I’m in a pinch.

Yup…can`t love natural oils enough. Shea butter is my go-to for almost all DIY beauty products but never tried using it in raw form. Do you use it as is?

      • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

Yep sure do! I have pretty dry skin so it works for me – but the smell of raw shea isn`t the greatest. I`ve also got to be careful to not put too much on though, otherwise the excess that my skin can`t absorb just sits on the surface and I just leave grease marks everywhere like an oily chip lol

Yea raw shea smell isn`t quite appealing. Same with Ghee – great properties but doesn`t smell good on skin – love in food though. Trying to figure out if I can incorporate it in some beauty product or as a mask so it gets washed off after doing the magic.

I wonder if you could use shea butter in a scrub? Maybe mix in a carrier oil to make it spread better and some essential oil? Never tried it, but just a thought…

You absolutely can but better melt and whip it up with carrier oil – coconut works best – just as is it feels to dense and greasy

Mac fix+! I use it during makeup application and afterwards plus during the day to freshen up! I’ve added shimmer to the mini size bottles to use as a body spray too!
