Toner tips and tricks

Hi beauties,

I love the mist type spray toners, I find them really efficient to use, and nothing beats the refreshing feeling of a nice mist. However my current toner is a bottle one which requires me to use a cotton pad to apply (I think this makes mist toners also better for the environment!).

Two things:

Firstly, has anyone ever transferred a toner into a spray bottle? Are there any good small spray bottles out there that I can purchase for it which will give me a nice even gentle mist?

Secondly, share with me your favourite mist toner! (Or any toner).

Caitmay are you close to any MUJI by any chance? I bought a few spray bottles from them. They are affordable and durable.

For mist toners I love (1) Dermalogica Active Moist and (2) Goodness Be Cool. I like alcohol free ones myself and I found alcohol dries my skin over time, especially if I use them daily and all over.

You can buy empty spray bottles from stores that specialise in DIY soap-making, skin care, essential oils etc. You can sometimes find empty spray bottles at health food stores that sell refillable cleaning products. Here are some suggestions, but there are plenty more if you do a Google search:

I have used the Jurlique rose mist before and I love it!
They sell a lot of spray bottles in the chemists and discount stores but I am not sure if they really turn toners into fine mist.
One interesting product is a oil spray bottle you can get from the supermarket. I don’t understand all the mechanics behind it, but it has a pressure pump that turns the spray into super fine mist. Check them out if you are interested.

I don’t know about if you can turn it into a mist.. u could try but it will probably be stronger than a mist usually is. I really like sukin facial mist toners. Frequently 50% off at priceline or chemist warehouse so ends up being around $5. Unbeatable value and I find it very gentle and effective.

Thanks, I have used the Sukin one before, it’s a very nice spray but I didn’t think it did anything for my skin. I ended up buying a different brand one online from Priceline online though. Will share when it arrives.

Hit up an online store like New Directions as they have some good spray bottles.

I don’t use toner but sometimes use pure rose water.

New directions had so many nice bottles and things! Would be great for someone starting their own skincare or beauty line.
