The ordinary

What’s been your experiences with the ordinary? Is it as good as more expensive serums? I want a new skincare for ageing and heard good things about this! What are the must have products in the range?

I have a bottle Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% from The Ordinary. I’ve had it for around 6 months, it says to not use too often. I use it for 4 nights then put it away. I haven’t noticed any difference yet. I do like the cheaper price tag and I can get it at Priceline. I will try some more products to see if there are some outstanding products.

I have been using the lactic serum, it is really great for my mature skin. Just love this brand.

Well I am converted my niece is a beautician. And knows I am a budget conscious person told me about these wonderful products so I though I would give. The ordinary. Hyaluronic acid serum and moisturizer. To see if continued use would. Make much difference. Well I can see some improvement. I will be off to get a few more of their range of products. In the new year.

I`m still yet to try the Ordinary, I`ve got so many samples to work my way through first, but I`ve heard nothing but rave reviews about them.

I saw Ordinary products appearing at the local Priceline recently! I thought they were online only?!

Only a limited range are available at Priceline, Myer and David Jones. They`ve been available there for a few years now.

Deciem also have brick and mortar stores in Melbourne and Sydney. I don`t know about Sydney as I am based in Melbourne, but the Melbourne store is located in South Yarra.

I wonder why The Ordinary is not listed on beautyheaven given it is so widely available.

They`ve never really paid for PR – the wild success of their brand originally derived from a rapidfire word of mouth. Therefore it makes little sense to pay to be listed on BH when so many people are giving their opinion on their brand on every social platform for free. The management of their social media alone is effective enough for them to engage with their existing customer base and potential new customers.

It depends on whether they want to spend on advertising.

Estée Lauder and some of their other brands are on here so there is hope!

Yes and a lot of beauties love their products, they should definitely join up!

I bought The Buffet and the Granactive Retinoid % Emulsion yesterday. Am going to use up some other products I have first before I try them.

I just got onto the adore beauty website to have a look myself and I am sooo confused! I have no idea what to get and I don’t want to use 101 products either! But given the other forums and if The Ordinary are not supplying anymore I don’t want to get something I may not be able to get down the track.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I’m also finding it hard to start with which products to try (being so many) but some great advice here!

Same here, I`m finding it SO daunting. And a lot of articles and videos that attempt to explain it kind of almost make it more intimidating for me because they so often know EXACTLY what they`re talking about and I end up still feeling like I don`t know enough to understand what to pick and not pick up. This thread is amazingly helpful!

I am liking the retanoid 2% so far, the ordinary AHA and lipoic acids are next on my list!

I love the vitamin c and retinoid!
