I recently received a free mask as part of a Swisse promotion, sounds liek a few people have had issues with it. I haven’t tried mine yet.

Hi all, I recently received the Swisse Hyaluro-Natural Hydrating Facial Mask as part of a trial team and really liked it. I use it twice a week, and as I only received it about a month ago, I have not used it very often. The ingredients in the mask have begun to separate 🙁 I keep this product in a cool dry cupboard, and apply it with scrupulously clean fingers, so I’m not sure what is causing this problem. Has anyone else had this happen? I have tried shaking the jar, or stirring it with a clean plastic spatula, but a few days later, it has started to separate again. Not sure what to do? Is it still okay to use?

Sorry, Sally, I can`t help because I had a reaction to the mask so haven`t kept it. I`d email Swisse before using it again. A contact should come up if you search the company. Good luck.

Reading all of the comments and reviews, definitely will try the HA range too! So far had only success with all of the Swisse skincare

The Swisse Hyaluronic Acid range suited my combination ageing skin nicely. I found the mask to be lovely and hydrating for skin. I enjoy using the products.

I was reading the reviews with interest, in particular Petal’s reaction and was wondering if someone on the trial can look at the ingredients listed and see if Carrageenan is a listed ingredient?

Just because I tried the Swisse Manuka Honey mask and had a reaction to it – very similar to Petal with the burning. I checked the ingredients on cosdna and the only thing that I hadn’t been exposed to is the Carrageenan and I was wondering if maybe that caused Petal’s reaction if it was a listed ingredient (the Hyaluro mask isn’t listed on cosdna so I can’t look it up).

I wrote a review on the Manuka Honey one a couple of weeks ago but it’s still not published. I’m not normally a reactive type of person and only the Endota Spa mask gave me a similar reaction and I use masks pretty regularly.

Duality, do you mean Trish_D? Petal wasn`t on the trial and I had the burning reaction – I haven`t had time to check other reviews yet, so Petal may have tried it herself.

YES – Carrageenan is one of the ingredients. I have no idea what caused my reaction, thankfully it didn`t last. Often I assume it`s a combination of ingredients with my reactions but I rarely know.

Ooh derp! Yes Trish you are right lol silly me I wrote wrong name! Thanks for your answer, I am not sure if that ingredient is to blame but it seems to be a new one for me and I just wondered.

      • 6 yrs, 4 mths ago

No problem, duality! I have no idea either but there are so many ingredients, many I`ve not heard of and with so many “”natural”” ingredients you are just guessing.

Thanks, anne, Petal, Indie and Kassalee. I’m really pleased with two out of three, especially when they’re really good! I’ll be interested in your reviews Kassalee and other triallers.

Reminder to those on this trial

Written review is due by 5pm on 13th December 2017 – tomorrow!

Lucky I checked the email as I assumed it was due Friday – and don’t forget the survey too.

My reviews are done and I’m delighted that two out of the three products are winners!!!!!! The serum is beautiful and has such a lovely feel to it. The eye serum is excellent so far – I really feel that you need 3 months to evaluate an eye cream as it isn’t evident how efficient it will be with minimising lines etc. in the short span but this so far is excellent. It’s easy and economical to use, really pleasant and incredibly well priced for a good product.

I had a reaction with the mask but I have just about given up on masks because I react to any I’ve tried, including ones for sensitive skin. For someone like me, with super sensitive skin to be delighted in two items so that I’ll continue using them, it’s a major win. Thanks heaps BH and Swisse.

At least you`re on to a couple of winners there, Trish. I agree it takes a while for eye products to show real results. I quite like Swisse products so based on your experience with the serum I might have to give it a try.

      • 6 yrs, 4 mths ago

Onlyoni, I would not have believed I`d consider using a different serum from the one I`ve used for probably 2 years after so many serum flops I can`t remember how many, but this is as good as my loved Springfield`s with a few week`s use.

    • 6 yrs, 4 mths ago

Agree Trish_D Two outta Three ain’t bad!

And yes, 2 weeks isn’t long enough to notice any change in the skin – but I’ll continue using 2 if the products until finished.

      • 6 yrs, 4 mths ago

Good review of the mask, Kassalee. I haven`t looked at the reviews for the other products yet but I was interested that you weren`t fussed with the mask. I have yet to find a mask I can use so I gave up after being told by the Ella Bache rep that I couldn`t possibly go wrong with one of theirs for sensitive skin – it got washed off in seconds but my Daughter-in-law was happy to take it!

I`m so glad that you have found 2 treasures out of this trial, Trish

    • 6 yrs, 4 mths ago

Trish_D, congratulations on finding two new suitable skin care products.

    • 6 yrs, 4 mths ago

      Yay trish!

  • 6 yrs, 4 mths ago

Thanks for the tip Petal! I tried the shower hack and it worked well too 🙂

I’m not part of this trial, but if someone is having difficulty removing the mask, try removing it with a textured muslin cloth or a microfibre cloth (a cloth with a subtle abrasiveness). If that’s not enough, you could then follow up with an aromatherapy toning mist/hydrosol (preferably alcohol-free).
