Omnilux – what do you want to know?

Hey there!

So as you may or may not know, the Big Boss Lady Jackie has been attending weekly Omnilux treatments in an effort to improve her skin. She didn’t know much about the treatments to begin with and now… well, she’s hooked.

(Check out her article, here…http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/skin-care/lighteners-brighteners-whiteners/the-light-of-my-life-blog-9474)

So we were wondering if there was anything you’d like to know about Omnilux treatments? We’re going to get bh’s Jackie to answer some questions – so just leave them on this thread!

xx

I’ve never had microdermabrasion before, I never would have thought of combining it with Omnilux

In case anyone is interested in knowing WHAT HAPPENS DURING OMNILUX THERAPY please see my comment on the omnilux forum thread: http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/forums/skincare/omnilux-light-therapy but basically “The therapist then told me that I should expect a light which can be “sore” on the eyes. The first light was bright at first yet I quickly adjusted. The second light was blinding! I honestly wasn’t sure if I would see again afterwards. I didn’t know where to look as anywhere I moved my eyeballs would still “hurt” my eyes. Towards the end of the treatment my eyes had adjusted and eventually the light turned to blue for a brief time and then the machine switched off.”

microdermabrasion isn’t invasive, it’s lovely. The majority of the treatment is more like a relaxing facial and the microderm feels like they’re just sucking off dead skin. I guess people are scared of them because of the horror stories of what happens in bad salons. Microderm can work to compliment other therapies so you get more bang for your buck. I was going to have mircroderm to create the perfect canvas for IPL facial rejuvination but alas I no longer have the funds for such indulgence.

Jackie is it like being in a solarium or is it more focused like IPL? Is it a facial treatment or body? Really interested 🙂

Oh I did Light Therapy for a while with Ella Bache and I loved it.
I saw a marked improvement in my skin.

I am 28 years old and have suffered from acne since a teenager, now fast approaching 30 I wanting to try some Light Therapy again to get rid of the deep underskin acne that never comes to a head.

I would love to hear whatever information you have to offer on this.

I had been thinking about microdermabrasion but Light Therapy just sounds so much more less invasive.

hhmm….I have never heard of it before.
Im guessing its very expensive and not something i could afford but i do wonder if it is something that would help with rosacea.

If i could change one thing about me physically then i think that would be it…I would love to have normal looking skin without the redness

    I’d love to know:
    – how effective it is
    – who is it best for
    – how long it takes to see a visible result
    – how long the effects last
    – how much it costs
    – any possible side effects
    – how to find a good practitioner!
