Japanese products

My friend recently came back from a holiday in Japan, and she gifted me a pack of Lululun face sheet masks, because they were recommended by the salesperson as one of the top selling facial products in Japan. I have yet to use them but I did a quick google search and holy moly they are highly raved by heaps of people!

Now I’m curious about what are people’s experiences with Japanese skincare products? I personally have only used Hada Labo’s toner but I don’t find it very moisturising. I’ve used mostly Korean products but not really Japanese products.

Hope to hear your experiences! Val x

When I go to Japan or Korea, I stock up on face mask, acne patches and basically skin care products as it’s so much cheaper than buying online. I’ve been using Cosrx, CNP, Belif and Klairs (online). Love the Klairs toner and cotton pads. Next, I’m going to try KraveBeauty but it’s only online and no actual shop.

I tried a few SK II products after my friend recommended them and I love their essence and face masks! They are very expensive though but there’s no doubt the products are of a high quality. I haven’t tried any other Japanese skincare products but if SK II is anything to go by, I think they are generally good. When I was in Japan, I tried out a few drugstore makeup products and they were cheap but very good.

I`ve heard good things about their drugstore products too! Personally I haven`t tried them because they`re hard to find in Australia. Have you got any idea what brands you tried?

SK II is also legendary but oh my, the prices are even more legendary. At the moment I can`t afford them :`(

When I went to Japan I stocked up on a bunch of products, I’ve never had an issue with them but my biggest concern was that I couldn’t read the ingredients. This includes a wide range of face masks, they all worked great and fine. No idea what brand they were though 🙁

I have found some facial oils here in Australia, all with different vitamin focus for certain skin concerns. Those all worked great too, I have quite sensitive skin and nothing I used from Japan has made my skin go red or flare up.

Yes I agree the language can be a big problem! I reckon I`ll just rely on the information on reddit. What sort of oils are you using?
