Albolene would be perfect for you! It takes your makeup off and you don’t have to use soap and water after, which locks the moisture in your skin! I use it and love it, here’s a link if you’re interested, http://www.albolene.com/beauty-tips-techniques/ hope this helps!

Sometimes finding an eye makeup remover that doesn’t cause irritation is just trial and error. I have used a few eye makeup removers that stung my eyes. When I read reviews for these eye makeup removers, very few people said that they had issues with them stinging. I once used an eye makeup remover that made the skin around my eyes itchy for about two weeks. I couldn’t find any reviews which reported a similar problem. Everyone is different in how they respond to products. Having said that, the common irritants in eye makeup removers are fragrance, synthetic dyes and preservatives.

I developed occasional sensitive eyes a couple of years ago. I’ve found two eye makeup removers that are good for when my eyes are feeling sensitive:

You can always use cold-pressed oil or jojoba oil to remove eye makeup. I’d be very surprised if an oil would cause irritation unless you accidentally got some of it in your eyes. Many years ago, I used to use coconut oil on my face, but I don’t use it on my face now. I have lots of tiny milia around my eyes and mouth, and I wonder if it is from the coconut oil which is heavier than other oils.

I have used many other eye makeup removers that have not caused irritation, but the two that I mentioned don’t contain a strong scent or dye (as far as I’m aware of).

I have tried two brands of micellar water to remove mascara, but they didn’t fully remove it.

There is no need to spend excessive money on special makeup remover. I grew up removing eye makeup (any shadow/liner/mascara) with plain brand baby oil, and it works phenomenally, and it’s very cheap. If the baby oil irritates you for any reason, olive oil also works very well and moisturizers very well without any type of irritation.

    Hi Lisa7153, great topic!

Like Heidi Purrs, I’m a big advocate of coconut oil and a cotton ball to remove my eye make-up. If you’re looking for a product though, a friend of mine uses this ASAP one and can vouch for it being extremely gentle (she has super sensitive skin):

BIODERMA Sensibio H20 is also extremely popular in the bh office:

    I hope this helps!

I use this one by Nature’s Organics:
    http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/make-up/make-up-remover/40949-natures-organics-australian-pure-kakadu-plum-almond-oil-eye-makeup-remover

It’s Australian made, It has a plant based formula, with no silicones, mineral oil, alcohol, synthetic fragrances, sulfates, parabens, animal derived ingredients or testing and is packaged in a 100% plant derived & recyclable bottle! For $4.99! I get it from Coles, but I’m sure you can find it elsewhere.

Otherwise Garnier’s Micellar water doesn’t irritate my eyes either. Good luck! x

    Hey Lisa,

I’ve tried so many and I have sensitive skin & eyes too… Believe it or not, I’ve found that coconut oil and a cotton round does the best job! It gets rid of all the makeup, cleanses and moisturises the skin, and doesn’t irritate anything. At least, that’s what works for me! You can get it from supermarkets, usually in the health food section 🙂

Hi Lisa7153! Of all the makeup removers I’ve tried, I still prefer regular old baby oil on a cotton ball. I wear eye primer & waterproof mascara & it gets it all off, but I DON’T have sensitive eyes.

Almost every eye makeup remove I’ve used causes redness and irritation…, except… Nivea 3-in-1 Eye Makeup Remover http://www.nivea.com.au/products/face-care/Daily%20Essentials/3-in-1-waterproof-make-up-remover_AU_NZ
