It anyone still waiting for their reviews to be published? I’ve only had two out of my three go up.

    • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

I think all my reviews have now gone up!

    • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

Yes! Me too! Only 2 or the 3 I submitted have been published – I was worried it was only me until I started reading some of the other forum comments.

    • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

mayday no my reviews were not published today however I did only submit last night. I didn’t rate any of the products higher than three stars so I suspect it will take a while as they may be trying to get a brand response. Given I mention symptoms of itchiness, dryness of skin and bumps in my reviews, it didn’t warrant more than three stars in my view

Hi ladies sorry I have not being on here for ages but I have to say I actually really like how my skin is from using these products. I haven’t seen improvement in pigmentation but I feel like my skin tone has evened out and a lot of the redness is gone. I also have found my skin is extremely hydrated!

    • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

That’s great Kristy. Thanks for coming on and letting us know. I’d written This product off but it actually has worked for someone.

      • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

Yeah the initial purge can turn people off, perhaps it`s the niacinamide in it. I`m no ingredient guru but using The Ordinary products I`ve read niacinamide can take some time to get used to and people avoid it as they don`t want to go through purge. But as I said i`m no expert I just stuck with it and have noticed a great improvement.

      • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

Kristy glad to hear that the products had a positive effect on your skin. I’m no expert either but a few members noted itchiness and dryness which is not characteristic of purging I thought

      • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

Nope does not sound like purging you are right! Itchiness is not a great reaction at all! My skin is so dry and dehydrated I`m suprised I got such a good result. I hope those that had a bad reaction were back to normal after stopping using the products.

Thank you ladies for sharing your experience with these products. As someone that is always on the look out for products that help with pigmentation, I really appreciate your honest opinions. I’m also happy to give these products a miss. I found the anti-aging range to be ok, but with the amount of reported reactions, I’m not willing to take the risk with these products.

I have just submitted my final reviews.

Day cream – 1 star (no option for zero); spot corrector – 1 star; night cream – 2 stars

I imagine it would take weeks to have mine published because they are very honest.

They did absolutely nothing to lighten pigmentation, apart from giving my blemishes.

    • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

      Thanks sj!

Honesty is the way to go.

I respect Ego as a company and I love their Azclear brand but the Elucent Even Tone range was a disappointment.

That said, it does take a minimum of three months of using hydroquinone to see any marked improvement in hyperpigmentation and HQ is the gold standard when it comes to topicals.

Can`t wait to read your reviews.

I will upload my final photos over the weekend.

Have a restful couple of days!

      ❤️☺️

    • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

I can`t wait to read them. Even though I already know this stuff is`nt very good.

    • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

I still need to write my reviews, only have the day cream review in draft so far but planning to finalise this weekend. Mine will also be rated quite low too. My personalised link for the reviews has been deactivated “due to my adverse reaction” but I will be submitting them anyway since I persisted for 3 weeks.

I did submit the survey already but wonder if my results will be included in the article if one gets published…

      • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

It`s a shame your personalised review links have been deactivated! – But good onya for submitting reviews anyway, Tigerlily!

    • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

Your honesty can stop lots of people wasting their money on products that aren`t effective.

Before and After picture – 4 weeks of use

    • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

Thanks for uploading pics for us, sj! The right-hand pic is the after shot, right? Left definitely looks better.

      • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

Yes. I am totally unimpressed with the results. Thank right hand pic shows a bonus pimple too.

Initially I was neutral towards the spot corrector and didn`t mind the night cream, but the lack of reduction in any pigmentation coupled with the breakout means that I need to rate them quite low. They failed to do the one thing that they claim to do.

      • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

You`ve got no choice but to rate it low, sj!

    • 4 yrs, 7 mths ago

Your pictures tell it all sj.

    • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

I have more spots after the trial than before and they take aaaages to fade. not happy Jan

  • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

I can’t find the survey? Did it come with the review link (I haven’t done them yet)?

  • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

I will have to go look at your reviews ladies!

Can i just say that off topic i love how this has brought people together and everyone has sorted stuff that popped up instead in a civil and understanding manner! I love that everyone was willing to hear everyone out.
It’s definitely one of the few places that has such a group of ladies who are willing to give others benefit of the doubt and sort things through rather than just do the whole…

arms crossed pouting Im not your friend anymore LOL

Reviews are due Monday, but the rest of the week is huge for me so I submitted my reviews and survey today.

I won’t lie, I’m happy this one is over. I’ve missed my regular sunscreen and some soothing, hydrating treatments will be a most welcome change!

Thanks for the discussion, trial buddies! Looking forward to reading everyone else’s reviews.

    • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

Good job for sticking it out even though you weren`t a fan. 🙂

I`ll be reviewing over the weekend but also glad it`s coming to an end. I quite enjoy the night cream and will finish that up but not really keen on the day cream. I`m a bit torn on how to rate the corrector as I definitely feel that it needs a longer trial. I guess I`ll continue to use it up and then update my review down the track if needed.

      • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

        That a good idea.

My reviews for the day cream and night cream were published quickly, but not the spot corrector. I gave it one star based on the inadequate product info and it just didn’t add anything for me. I expected a delay and response, but I hope it’s not the generic type response that often comes with negative consumer feedback. I believe they truly do need to offer more info with that particular product if they want customers to have a better experience with it.

      • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

        Hi Lucrecia,

I submitted my reviews last night.

Like you, I gave the spot corrector one star.

It smelled like paint stripper and wasn`t efficacious in the slightest!

Looking forward to reading your reviews.

        ❤️☺️

      • 4 yrs, 8 mths ago

        Hi Lucy,

I thought it smelled like glue. Neither is good.

I look forward to reading your review as well. And especially the brand response. It`s very telling how great their commitment to quality is when they respond to specific feedback. If the response is specific to the customer feedback vs generic cut and paste, I`ll usually give them another chance. Sometimes they don`t respond at all even though they have the chance/right to do so and I like that too because it means they`re honest enough to let the feedback stand. But the generic cut and paste is the kiss of death for me. I hate that.

I’m wondering if any of the bh team is involved in this trial, and if so how the products are affecting their skin. I know team members have been on various trials in the past (such as 2 on the Lellure Illumination Body Spray) so it’s possible one of them is also trialing the Elucent range.
