Eczema skincare

Hi everyone,

My eczema has flared up across my nose and all under my eyes. It’s just very flaky not red.

I’m looking for an alcohol-free cleanser and daily moisturiser to combat the symptoms. I am using a steroid cream at the moment to try and get it under control.

Needs to be something that’s good for the under-eye area too

Thanks so much

My bestie has eczema and she swears by Biologi’s Bf serum for her face and patches on her arms. She says it really soothes and controls the irritation.

Adelina633, can you clarify if you prefer products with botanical or natural-based ingredients? If you do, I can suggest cleansers, but only ones for dry skin (that’s my skin type).

For your eczema, I’d like to suggest Hope’s Relief Premium Eczema Cream. I have lots of irritation on my body due to health issues, and I always have this cream in my home. I also recommend calendula oil, but if you’re allergic to plants in this botanical family, don’t use it! An alternative to calendula oil is hypericum oil. I also recommend products by MooGoo and Billie Goat Soap.

There is a brand called Grahams Natural for skin conditions such as yours, but I haven’t used their products in a long time, so I won’t recommend any. Someone else in the forums may help you with this brand.

Hi Adelina633, I would recommend Cerave products and La Roch Posay too they have fantastic products for all problematic skin types. I’m using Cerave hydrating cleanser and moisturizer lotion, it is really light, gentle and very hydrating, I’m loving it. They are available at chemist warehouse, very affordable too.

I’ve found luck with MooGoo, Bioderma and Avene.

Eczema is hell, I even get it in my eye sockets sometimes.

    Good luck.

Back when I still lived in Europe I worked at a “natural health & beauty” type store for a while. They had a few of their own brand skincare lines… one of the lines was entirely based on Dead Sea salt I’m fairly sure and it worked miracles on my skin and was also really good for a friend I had who had really bad eczema.

I know that’ s not of much DIRECT help but my point is… specifically Dead Sea based, gentle products might be something good to try.

I use QV gentle wash when I get flare ups, it helps lessen the itchiness and doesn’t irritate or dry out the skin. Not sure about the face moisturiser, I get eczema & dermatitis on my body & use dermeeze ointment which works wonders for soothing & protecting the skin..unsure if they have a facial moisturiser version, maybe have a look online?
