Since arthritis has been mentioned, i just thought i’d let you know there’s such a thing as psoritic arthritis so are you sure you have eczema and not psoriasis? I suffer from psoriasis and have dry skin on my eye lids from it. Perhaps a visit to your GP for a referral to a dermatologist to get a medicated cream for it.

Hi, I will ask when next I go to Dr. Is the cream you get helpful, name of it?
There are just so many creams if one has to try them all to get one that works it is a very costly process.

I will be watching responses eagerly as I also have suffered from this for most of my life and have found nothing to be of assistance

I too have suffered for years. Tried creams, some make it worse. Dr say its diet, starved made no difference. As I have aged it has got worse. Now I feel and at times look like a scaley lizard. This problem does not help in making one feel beautiful at all. One Dr told me it is related to a form of arthritis .. mind boggles along.

Hi Narelle619, this sounds awful, but I`d leave the advice to your doctor. Get a specialists referral if you`re not seeing someone for this already. Good luck!

    Hi brandy,

thanks for your post – this sounds like more of a medical problem, so we would recommend you heading to a gp or skin specialist at the earliest opportunity – especially as the eczema is occurring in your delicate eye area!

You might require a professional grade or over the counter product, but definitely seek expert advice to determine what’s best. In the meantime, I would avoid using any creams without this advice.

Sorry we can’t be more help, it’s just we would hate for you to receive the wrong advice in a forum like ours!

    xx
