Dry skin

I have extremely dry skin around my nostrils. They are red and very flakey and look awful when makeup is put on top. How do I fix them? Thanks xxx

  • I just did a blog post about my sad, dry, sensitive face. There is a list at the bottom of some good hydrating products that I’ve been using. The Darphin oil is amazing for hydrating skin.

  • Hi dear Courtney , sorry to here about your problem .
Natural remedies tend to work very well with dry skin and honey is the best choice for you at the moment
Honey : Honey softens and moisturizes dry skin, and can be applied directly to problem areas – massage gently into skin and let sit for 2-3 minutes and rinse. Repeat daily and you will experience noticeably softer skin!

    Good luck .

When I changed my diet to plant based, my dry skin went away 🙂

    Hi!
i have the same problem. When you scratch it the flakey skin gets worse and more red. It must be an issue we all get, hopefully someone finds a quick solution 🙂

I’m following this thread coz I also have this issue, especially in winter. I exfoliate my skin at least once a week but in winter I still have this issue. I try to use facial oil to combat the flakiness but sometimes it’s still there.

CourtneyJade, do you exfoliate your skin, and if so, what are you using? Before I used to regularly exfoliate my skin a long time ago, the sides of my nose used to be flaky. An exfoliating product makes a huge difference in how my makeup looks.

Courtney, your name is familiar. Did you change your avatar photo? If a member is new to the forums and they change their avatar image quickly after joining, it can be a bit confusing. If you have changed your avatar image, you might want to remind people on this thread:
