Chirally correct skincare

Has anyone used or considered using chirally correct skincare products?

Chiral technology involves molecular separation or purification of ingredients which is supposed to help beneficial ingredients absorb better into the skin and minimise adverse reactions.

By purifying or refining these molecules it will ensure that only the positive effects of each ingredient is produced so you achieve better results without irritation or reactions

Some chirally correct skincare lines include: Sircuit, CosMedix, Results RX, Che and PCA Skin.

Do you think this is another marketing ploy or a genuine scientific breakthrough?

After learning about this technology it did make me question my skincare regime.

I am interested in trying some chirally correct products but probably a treatment or serum of some sort. I wouldn’t worry about using a chirally correct cleanser. The problem is all these skincare lines are quite expensive and I still have an arsenal of expensive products to go through.

I apologise in advance for my efforts in simplifying and summarising chiral technology. It was a challenge for my non-scientific brain. Please google ‘chirally correct skincare’ or similar for more information.

I do get good results with cosmedix products, but find they are a bit too expensive, especially for the small size of the bottles!
I may replace them with skinstitut. Anyone use the eye believe?

This forum thread inspired me to do a blog article on chirally correct skincare:
    http://sarah-thescienceofbeauty.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-is-chirally-correct-skincare.html

please let me know if it is still too sciencey. This was one topic that was really hard to explain in laymans terms and i am not sure whether i have done a good job of trying to translate the concepts.

I don’t really understand the concept of Chirally correct products but when I looked into my skincare I found that the ingredients are chirally correct so I spose its a good thing. I use Lendan and I buy it from a salon so I’m confident it’s got great ingredients, I’ve sussed out the site and it all sounds good.

Oh well that’s nice of you all to slam a newbie. From the outside looking in it seems I have entered a niche of close mined people. Thanks for the welcome.
Did you know that chirally correct products manufacturers are undergoing dramatic changes in the next few months? Formula and ingredient changes? I would like to share it all with you soon. (If I am game)

I’m sorry that you think I was ‘slamming’ a newbie Aussieskincare, as I have not been here long either. I just said that your post did look a bit like an ad because of the wording and because it was the only post you had made in all of the forums. I never meant for anyone to take offense.

I love learning about new skin care information, all for it, but if it is only about particular brands rather than the concept in general then you have to declare your affiliation with the brand, it is the terms and conditions of this site 🙂

My facialist now used CosMedix, and my fav beauty online store sells it for quite good prices, but i’ve never looked into it much, just assumed it was another marketing angle from the big cosmetics company to reverse ageing! will look into it a bit further now if its gentler on the skin. Prices aren’t too bad online, but very steep in store.

    Hey Aussie,

Please don’t be offended. If you go through all of the threads you will notice advertising posts keep popping up, and often they are from people who only have 1 post so when your post came up, and it was your first one, it looked like it was jsut another ad. But if you have more info on Chirally Correct products, please share. Most of us are new to this whole concpet so are eager to lean more (I’m a scientist and had never heard of it before!).
