Best tweezers?

I usually get my eyebrows waxed once a month, but find that I need to tweeze them in between to maintain them. I have a crappy pair of tweezers that have been in my bathroom forever, and don’t find them very effective in tweezing the hairs. I was wondering if somebody could recommend some great tweezers? And what are the different types? I’ve seen flat ones, slanted ones etc! Thanks 🙂

I own around a dozen pairs of tweezers, honestly! I’m obsessive over stray hairs, so I’ve got one for bedside, one packed in an overnight bag, several pairs in the bathroom, one by the phone, one by the computer, one by my lounge room chair. The second a hair breaks through my skin, I’m aware of it & I can’t stop touching it until I pluck it out. My favourite pair of tweezers is a super cheapie. It’s got some rust stains, it’s really cheap metal, but I can bend it so that it’s at the perfect angle to get hairs when they’re really, really short. I think I got it at a cheapie dollar shop.

For anyone interested in buying some luxury tweezers, I have my eye on some from Rubis. I have seen them on UK websites such as Beauty Bay, Look Fantastic and Cult Beauty:

Woah Petal that is some pricey tweezers at close to ÂŁ20 !

You`d want to be sure they worked – I know my Perlex ones do.

My late grandmother would even borrow them when she came to stay – so that dates them to at least 35 years old!

Still work great – notice they`re a bit springier than the new ones – can you believe the plastic and black carry pouch is still the same?

And they`re perfect for plucking that hair from the mole on my face as soon as I can feel it break through – I`ve had that for over 35 years too. LOL!

I agree, the manicare tweezers are the best ones that I have ever used. I have 3 of the exact same pair of tweezers (in a zebra print haha) just in case I loose a pair. They are slanted. I purchased mine from priceline a little while ago. Not too sure if you can still get them in that pattern, but I also have a black pair of the same slanted tweezers from priceline that are exactly the same except they have a little metal built in brush attached to the top. So you can brush your brow hair before plucking them. As Delicious said, they get the hair right at the root and it doesn’t snap. So I highly recommend these tweezers.

I have manicare tweezers that I got from Priceline. I think I paid $10. I like this tweezers. It can pick up tiniest of hairs from my chin (I have in growns) very precisely. Doesn’t cut the hair at the base but actually effectively pulls the hair out. Cheap tweezers I have from reject shop just snap the hair.

It’s been a year since I got I haven’t lost them yet. Tweezerman brand is expensive and I’m afraid I’ll loose the tweezers, that’s why I haven’t bought those.

Kassalee, thanks for posting the information about the tweezers. I had a similar pair in gold years ago. They worked better for me than my current Tweezerman and Anastasia tweezers which are more expensive. There was something about the ends of the tweezers that gripped the hairs really well.

I’ve been loving the Tweezerman ones. They are great at getting rid of hairs- definitely worth checking out.
