Beauty Fridge

Has anyone got a beauty fridge? I’ve been thinking about investing in one for my skincare products and perfume so it prolongs their shelf life. These can be purchased through the Beauty Fridge company directly or from Priceline. Not sure whether to trust the reviews on the website and thought if anyone has one can they share their honest feedback. Thanks.

It’s so cute! Nys I like your new profile pic, I can tell you are a expert at make-up application. This has got me thinking I should probably put my Argan and Rosehip oil in the fridge this summer.

I`m so far from an expert lol! I`m pretty sure oils solidify in the refrigerator :/

Thanks Kassalee, yeah I saw that info. Some of the other fridges have a xar adaptor as well. Not sure if that`s a necessity though.

I emailed Beauty Fridge to ask a few questions ….. energy rating/stars/power usage…length of cord….litre capacity

    and they replied last night…..

Due to the Beauty Fridge being categorised as a small electrical appliance, the energy star rating system does not apply.

The Beauty fridge runs on is between 100-240V.

The cord is about 1 metre long and is black.

    The fridge is 4L capacity.

Thanks Kassalee, they really should put this information on their site. Some of us women are interested in the “”technical stuff””

    • 4 yrs, 4 mths ago

      That`s little

      • 4 yrs, 4 mths ago

It is tiny, but if you only had a small amount of products it would do and it wouldn`t take up much room either.

      • 4 yrs, 4 mths ago

Less electricity too! My skincare routine used to be ridiculous but now I`m down to 4 products (not including masks)

  • 4 yrs, 4 mths ago

I wouldn’t have room for one, just pop things in my ordinary fridge if they need refrigerating. They look gorgeous though.

I’ve never seen these before, but now I think I want one! Pink please! I think I know exactly where I’d put it too.

    • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

Straight in the beauty room for me, although I need to get more desk space. The amount of products I`m displaying is building up quickly

      • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

I wish I could have a beauty room. I’d make it all pink and pretty and girly.

All of my make up is stored in acrylic make up storage units on top of the chest of drawers in the bedroom. My skin care and hair care is in the bathroom.

I managed to find a Priceline store near me that has 3 of these fridges in stock from Beauty Fridge, the one in my photos. I was hoping they would have one on display and plugged in and running so I could at least hear it and see it in the flesh. No such luck. One of the girls working there was kind enough to unbox one for me. The one I saw was blue and $129.

So, this one is 4 litres and it’s teeny tiny. This is the older model with no shelf in the door and it would probably be big enough for me….just!
There are 3 switch positions on the right side of the fridge, OFF. HOT. COLD. No settings to control the temperature.
The power cord was wrapped up in a bag so I couldn’t see how long it was but the head on it is a normal 2 pronged one, not one of those clunky adapter ones that take up a tonne of space on the power point.
It’s super cute though. I might look into one of the other brands.

Lol! When I saw this forum Beauty Fridge, I’m like, what a useless thing to buy.

Now after reading all the comments I kinda want one!

Hubby has 2 mini bar fridges (in his outdoor bar) as well as a wine fridge inside with another smaller one coming soon!

And our old fridge is in use in the garage (so handy) after renovating the kitchen 2 years ago!

So what’s another fridge! I have a nice little spot for it in the corner of my bedroom too.

Treat yourself! It is the season for giving after all 😉

      • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

Ha ha, I like the way you think. I probably will get one, it`s just a matter of which one. I`m kind of sick of products going off or funny or gooey/runny.

      • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

        It`s a hard choice!

    • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

Wow Kassalee, that`s a lot of fridges! We only have the one fridge in the kitchen and it`s pretty full most of the time. These retro ones are so cute and some of the other ones are nice as well.

I’m very curious on them but not sure where I would put or what I would put in.

Maybe the Priceline one if they ever go on sale will tempt me 😉

    • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

      50% off? 😉

      • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

I think there might be some serious competition going on with these mini fridge companies. Beauty Fridge has got their one on sale atm for $105 on their website and it`s the same one Priceline have for $129. Another company has dropped their one from $159 to $129 as well.

      • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

They will probably offer really good sales on Black Friday too

  • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

Yes, I had a cheap one from Amazon. It was definitely a luxe addition and not entirely necessary to be honest. At the moment I’m keeping some skincare in my normal fridge but I am looking at purchasing another skincare one. The brand that’s available at Priceline is too small for my liking.

I would be interested to know if these are energy efficient or cheapy designed. I put a few certain items in the fridge, but personally my fridge is never full, so might as well put the items in the appliance I am already paying to run. Another constantly run appliances seems like an energy suck gimmick to me. Also depending on your housing situation, but looks like it would take up a fair bit of countertop space, and countertop space is pretty precious in my household

    • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

Thanks Nicoler and you make a good point. There isn`t that much info on the beauty fridge website, apart from the dimensions and it`s not too big. I have a small cavity under my bathroom bench where it could go. The information is more ooh and aah stuff without the nitty gritty. I`d love to see the power cord as well and how big the clunky bit is that plugs into the power point and what length the cord is. The amount of energy it uses to run would be nice as well and does it make a lot of noise? The reviews are a bit fluffy, like it`s so pretty and cute just isn`t enough for me.

      • 4 yrs, 4 mths ago

Here’s another pic I managed to grab (video came up as a sponsored post on my Instagram feed early yesterday morning) so power switch/cord is on the right side (as you look at the fridge front on) and not at the back as I would have expected.

      • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

Good points trackydacky! Are beauty fridges exempt from showing the energy stars?

      • 4 yrs, 5 mths ago

I don`t know Kassalee, there is very little technical information about them apart from dimensions which is annoying. None of the brands show the power cord/adaptor either and I`ve watched a few videos as well. Seems like most people focus on the pretty colours and the inside of the fridge. I will have to track down one at a Priceline store and have a look.
