BB and CC creams

Still a thing for some who want to save time.

BB creams seem to still be popular, especially since lighter coverage and more skin-like foundation is all the rage but I think the hype around CC creams have died out. BB cream is also a staple in k-beauty which is becoming ever more popular so that could have something to do with it too.

I feel like the lines are pretty blurred now between CC/BB creams and the newer generation lighter weight foundations – I feel like it’s more in the marketing as to what they decide to call them these days as most foundations have all the extras that cc and bb creams were sold as having. I’m still using and loving CC cream though – the It Cosmetics one!

I think they are still a “thing” but never really understand why they became “a thing” in the first place. For me they are just all tinted moisturisers – with varying degree of coverage and consistencies. I feel the naming of them as BB/CC was a fad. Not too long ago Clinique reverted its CC cream back to tinted moisturiser (but then brought out a BB gel)

I think they are still ‘a thing’ , Garnier sell a BB cream at my local woolies. New brands are making them and their are over 60 BB and CC creams on Beautyheaven that are available to review.
