Sales assiistants that rock!

Who do you love to buy beauty products off because their sales people are great? I’m sooo over bitchy sales women who are completely incapable of helping you choose a product. I have a 22 month old boy and he’s usually with me which can make things difficult and there’s a few stores I always return to because they know their stuff, they understand I can’t spend alot of time deciding and don’t make me feel bad if I haven’t waxed my top lip and they’re applying a new lipstick on me. So here are my picks for Melbourne – Mecca in Brighton and David Jones Napolean counter. All of the staff I’ve dealt with at these 2 places have been fantastic.

The Revlon Myer counter at Southland has an awesome woman who knows exactly what she is talking about and recommends the best products. She has great knowledge about all brands and has never sold me a bad product yet.
BeneFit at Chadstone has an awesome girl who is great with make-up, she always looks cute and gives excellent advice.
The Mac Myer counter at Doncaster there are 2 girls their that are awesome. They always trial new products on me and let me know when they have great specials
Their was an excellent girl at Myer Southland who worked for Estee Lauder she was amazing but when I went there a little while ago they said she had gone somewhere else but they won`t tell me where. I am still looking for her (without being a stalker hehe).
I have never been happy with any of the David Jones cosmetics counters.
I agree with everyone here about having Rude Sales Assistants. If they don`t want to be helpful I am happy to take my business elsewhere.

Aesop SAs are some of the best!! Always ready to help and take a lot of time with you, but no pressure if you just want to take some samples to try at home.
Also a big fans of the girls at MAC at Adelaide DJs, for some reasons the MAC girls in Myer down the street are nowhere near as helpful. They just stand talking among themselves when I`m really needing help, then I go next door to DJs and get all the help I need – which meant I spent up big there hehehe!
Conversely, when I used to buy Clinique the Myer store had a great SA but the DJs ones were rude. Just goes to show it`s often more about the person than the store or brand.

The MAC SA at Doncaster Myer. I think her name is Nikki she has long dark brown hair with golden highlights is wonderful. She is always helpful and nice and really knows her products. She isn`t pushy or fake. I only buy my MAC products from Nikki for this reason.

My David Jones HATE handing out samples to me… They are so rude about it. I prefer to go to NP or TBS at my local shops…

Also, makeup artists at MAC and Napolean always seem to have a lot of time for me as well.

I agree that Kit staff are always really helpful and take the time to answer my silly questions. The Kit in Myer at Pitt St Mall is great – go guys!

I find SA`s at MAC counters are always good and helpful. I was really annoyed with the SA at L`Occitane (Adel) recently. She offered me no assistance at all.

I`ve usually had good service at Bobbi Brown counters at David Jones in Bourke St and Doncaster. Also the SA at Kiehls at DJs Bourke St was nice.

I love Aveda staff – they`re always so knowledgeable and attentive and never patronising. Also my dear friend who works at the Greenstore, Fitzroy…not sure if I can mention her name but she`s a superstar when it comes to natural beauty products.
