Reviewing salon and spa treatments on beautyheaven

Hi beauties!

Have you ever had a salon or spa treatment and wished you could review it on beautyheaven?

We’d love to know whether you’d find it useful to be able to review and read reviews for all kinds of treatments on the site (like facials, waxing treatments, lip enhancements, brow tattooing, fillers etc) so please let us know below!

I would love to be able to read salon and spa treatment reviews on beautyheaven. It is difficult to find honest and realistic (i.e. not written by the salon owners!) reviews of salons and spas online nowadays, especially independent salons and spas. Having read many product reviews written by my fellow beautyheaven reviewers, I generally trust beautyheaven’s reviews, and would also like to read salon and spa treatment reviews on this site. Obviously there is a lot of personal preference involved in salon and spa treatments, but the same can be said of anything! I would particularly like to see reviews of less popular or less mainstream treatments, which are not so easy to research online. I would of course also be happy to review the treatments I regularly have, like brow shaping and waxing.

This would be very useful. I too have bought a couple of vouchers though sites like Groupon. The staff at some of them have been useless. Yet some places I visit are fantastic. I love having a massage and would appreciate reviews before I went.

  • I have completely gave up on scoopon/groupon. Most of the places I’ve been had been terrible. More than once I had to ask for a refund due to extremely poor hygiene.

  • I would LOVE to read salon treatment reviews. I regularly get massages but it is really hit and miss. And haircuts too. That would be awesome!!

Yes!! This is a great idea! I always look to online reviews before trying somewhere new.

    YES! YES! YES!

It can be really hard finding good places at good prices, I usually go to Shine at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast for massages because all of the girls there are fantastic but I’ve also used Groupon/Scoopon etc a time or two.

I’m thinking that it would be great to start a few threads for Groopon/Scoopon etc for different cities, maybe under Industry Watch. I’d love to be kept up to date with beauty deals in South-East Qld but I’m not interested in deals in Sydney or Melbourne so seperate threads for each area would be good. Would anyone else be interested and contribute if I were to set a couple up?

I usually only get facials through Groupon or OurDeals (similar to Groupon). I’ve had a few facials/massage combo deals too. If I were spending big bucks for one of these treatments, I’d want to read customers’ accounts to help me decide. Some of these treatments can be very pricey.

I’d sure love to be a part of a Trial Team on a salon treatment, if that ever becomes a thing.

I would very much love to have the opportunity to review salons and treatments on Beautyheaven. I think to make it easier, it would be great if there were a different set of guidelines for salon treatments (i.e. hair styling and colours v. waxing v. facials v. mani / pedicures) so you have a general idea as to what the industry expectations are, and also what is appropriate from a customer service perspective. Of course our personal bias is going to come in here, which is why we as consumers will tend to go towards places that provide an excellent service outcome with excellent customer service and value for money.

    That’s my thought process.

I think it would be difficult to evaluate as the treatment depends on the skill of each therapist – I’ve had waxing done by one person in a salon great, other times same salon different girl and awful experience. Same with hair dressers, massage therapists etc.

I would find this useful. I wanted to book a spa treatment for a friend recently and she lives on the other side of town so I had no idea about the salons and spas in her area. I just googled and picked the one with the best website.
