Honeymoon in Fiji

Hey Beauties,

Both J and me are 90% sure we want our honeymoon in Fiji.

We are after an all Inclusive resort. Includes all meals, snacks, drinks, spirits and mst activities.

Has anyone been to a great resort in Fiji?

    Thanks ladies,

We have ruled out bail and Thailand.

Now thinking about club med in Mauritius.
Check temps and high 20 low 30. Around 2 days of rain the the whole month of October 🙂

I went to Thailand for my honeymoon. We went to Koh Samui, though, which is an island off Thailand – it’s really laid back (nothing like Phuket), beaches are beautiful, amazing resorts. We stayed in a 2 storey rooftop penthouse for about A$250 a night. Our roof had 360 views of the Island, with a massive jacuzzi (there was also another jacuzzi in the bathroom) – separate bedroom/bath, dining room, extra balcony, living room and kitchen. It was so quiet and relaxing, and they had a complimentary bus that went into the main part of town (shopping / nightlife). I’d go back there in a heartbeat!

One thing I’d recommend is making sure the weather for the time you’re going is ok. You don’t want to be there in wet season : / .
I went in their summer season but not peak, i think it was near the cusp – it’s less busy, 1/2 the price of peak, still awesome weather.

Also, always try emailing the resorts directly for a price. The website price of where I stayed was around A$600 a night. My husband just emailed them asking for a quote and no question we got it for $250. They love honeymooners in those destinations, too – we got a cake and champagne on arrival, and they made swans out of the towels and covered the bed in rose petals!

Yeah I think I should go too – now just to talk hubby into it!! lol

I don’t blame you for feeling unsure about Bali & Thailand – both make interesting trips but don’t really compare to honeymoon-quality Fiji. When we were planning our honeymoon I wanted to go somewhere where it looked like a postcard and heavenly perfect and clean. Fiji fitted the ‘dream venue’ for me. (I had been to Bali twice before I was married and would never had even considered that, out of all honesty, for a honeymoon venue. Great for a fun, cheap shopping holiday though but that is all and I wouldn’t have considered it for a honeymoon – the quality of the water doesn’t compare either.) If you’re after postcard perfect water and dreamy stunning location and scenery your first pick of Fiji is what I could definitely encourage!! So I suppose it’s really what kind of honeymoon you have in mind.

You’ll get a great Fiji deal for $8,000 or under. Since it’s your special once in a long-time holiday I’d definitely go to Fiji! You’ll never stop raving about it to your kids (when they come along one day!). My children all want to go because I loved it and talk about how beautiful it is.

Yeah, It’s pretty easy to fall in love with Fiji! It’s so beautiful. I would love to do a ‘second honeymoon’ there. Thing is a lot of resorts offer kids stay, play and eat free so it’s kind of worth it to take the kiddiwinks these days. Now you have me thinking about it again MML!! ; )

I love tripadviser best thing ever.

We made the mistake of going through flight centre for the USA trip . If I did it myself I would haves saved heaps. So now John wants me to do it myself.

But I’m going to pop into each travel agent and see what price they give me.

This will be our last trip for a very long time. So we have a budget for around $8000. Just need to think if we should go straight after the wedding or a few months later.

I have fallen in love with Nemale resort Fiji number 1. Tripadviser has said. Nothing but good things 🙂

Hey congrats! My husband and I went to Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia for our honeymoon early this year, but didn’t stay at a resort. Flight centre would like special deals on resort booking, it might be a good idea just to have a look at the more popular choices – when you have decided on a resort, from what I’ve seen it’s usually cheaper if you book with the resort directly and bypass travel agents

Hey MML! How exciting! Yes we had our honeymoon in Fiji – it was one week on the mainland to start with in a ocean front resort with an amazing restaurant and ‘happy hour’ every day- and then one week on one of the islands which we were taken to by a boat. Coming back from the island we took a little plane which we then caught a transfer bus back to the airport. All our meals, transfers (boat & small plane) and mini adventure out to a tiny deserted sandy island were ‘all inclusive’ in a package put together by a travel agent. We also got top quality accommodation over the basic style by going with a package deal.

I think you’ll find that a travel agent would be able to put together a package for you too like what you are after. I’d ring around a few travel agents to see who can give you the best type of deal you’re after. If they know they are competing with other ‘quotes’ you could come up with a wonderful package deal! Enjoy!

    This sounds amazing MML!!
I have actually never been myself but my friends have and they love it. One of them just keeps going back because she just loves it over there.
I am sure which ever resort you choose will be amazing and you are bound to have a fabulous time.
    Keep us posted
    Xx
