good exfoliators?

I’m after a good, reasonably priced, facial exfoliator. I have Oily-combination skin. Any good ones out there?

Growing Old, I also give a big thumbs up to chemical exfoliants

On the days I don’t use my Yes to Grapefruits daily scrub, I use an AHA exfoliant from Paula’s Choice – it’s so gentle, but effective!

I wished I’d discovered chemical exfolliators sooner! Since discovering chemical ones my skin has improved so much. The last time I used even a gentle physical exfolliant it broke capillaries 🙁 so never again! Love that so many products are available now, some lovely gentle enzyme cleansers out there that do a great job at exfolliating. I was in love with an enzyme cleanser by POD but sadly the company closed down. I use Liquid Gold 3 times a week and that covers my exfoliation. Love it. My skin has improved so much. If I wasn’t using this I’d definately try the indeed labs one being similar to the dermalogica one as that one is great also.

I second Dermalogica Daily Microfoilant – it is a bit on the expensive side but I find this performs far better than any popular drugstore exfoliators (this includes St Ives, especially the apricot scrub which can cause microtears in your skin). My skin feels super so soft after I use this and I can feel my old skin is gone, leaving behind new skin. One bottle will last 6-8 months if you use it 2-3 times a week.

I’ve been using this for my face as well for the last 12 months. Isn’t it amazing!? It’s so gentle on the skin yet SO effective!
What do you use for a body scrub?

Some great suggestions there! I actually have a sample size of the Microfoliant, but it’s not quite what i’m after. I think i’ll do some research on The body shop seaweed one, and the Yes to grapes one.

I’ve been really enjoying a scrub I’ve had the chance to trial this year, and am using it almost daily at the moment.

It’s the Yes to Grapefruits Daily Exfoliator. Costs under $15, and I’ll definitely be buying more of it. What I love about it is I can use it in my shower, it has what I consider a perfect consistency ie works but not irritating materials, is natural, and doesn’t aggravate my sensitive tzone.

I don’t need any further exfoliating and the tube is also a huge size. My skin is looking fantastic over recent months with no flakiness or dry spots

I’m a big Bioré fan, I love their cleansers, scrubs, mask, everything.
You don’t want to know what I use on my legs though… I’ve got tough skin.

I just thought id revive this topic instead of waiting until tomorrow to start a new topic.

Id like to know what everyone uses as an exfoliator? I’m currently using Eslor which is a paste that you mix with water and has bits of grain like products in it. I do love this however I can only get it online.

I also dont like st ives I find that too harsh. Is there anything else available? Im almost looking for something with the texture of the body shop brazil nut body scrub!

Indeed Labs has a new microexfoliator. Many bloggers said it’s similar to Dermalogica microexfoliator but heaps cheaper. I haven’t tried it myself but I’ve heard nothing but good reviews. They have it at Priceline

I simply make my own using some baking soda, jojoba oil, & water – combine them into a simple paste, makes an excellent simple effective exfoliator

I’m loving The Body Shop’s seaweed exfoliator at the moment. It doesn’t dry out my skin and does a really great job at exfoliating.
