Ear candling

Has anyone tried ear candling? I bought some the other day and tried it after a friend recommended it but nothing happened! No wax at all!

My father used it in Italy and it worked REALLY well, it was incredible just how much wax it got out.

I have done it before, but for me it was about trying to relieve sinus pain/ pressure so I wasn’t fussed about removing wax. However it was facinating seeing what came out of my ears!

I had it done in Malaysia once and I felt no huge difference or any ‘Wow’ effect they promised. No ear wax either, but perhaps that’s a good thing !!

I rec’d a pair of ear candles from a subscription box, but too scared to use them.

Especially as I have narrow ear canals and have a tendency to get a wax buildup (wax doesn’t always find it’s way to the surface) so every year or two I need to get it removed and not by syringing with water (this can end up giving me an ear infection), but by suctioning out the wax using a microscope and this is called an Ear Toilet!

My massage therapist offers the ear candling service and I’d be inclined to go there to have it done rather than attempt it myself – at least for the first time.

Never thought I would read the words ‘ ear toilet ‘ Kassalee! Im going to buy some more and my friend and I are going to have a girls night in ear candling, very rock’n’roll lol!

Yes, philippa495′ it cracked me up when I saw the medicare receipt with ‘Ear Toilet – left ear’ and another item for the right ear. I initially had it done at an ear specialist (so expensive) but then came across a GP at a medical centre where I can get it done bulk billed – so Zero cost, but he’s the only GP there that does it (he has the equipment) and the wait is usually an hour to an hour and a half.

Your Ear Candling Party made me chuckle! But that’s an excellent idea and you can all keep an eye on each other, as I’ve heard of experiences where the carpet has caught on fire (now that’s rock’n’roll!) – so not too much champagne!

I have tried ear candling and find it so beneficial. It depends on the brand of candles purchased, some of them are hopeless.
The brand I use is Why Karma Natural Health Products, Karma Ear Candles made from pure bees wax and calico, purchased them from Terry White Chemist. Make sure to read the instructions.

Thanks for the recommendation hun, the ones I got were from Priceline, I will go get some from Terry White 🙂
