Men’s Beard Care

Ok beauties, so my man has what he hates to call a “baby face”, and decided a few years ago now that a beard was the manliest way to counteract this.
I much preferred it when it was subtle stubble, but alas the full beard is here to stay.
Only problem is, the skin underneath the beard tends to get fairly dry and flaky. And the bristles can be a bit rough.
So far he’s tried a beard oil, which made little difference but the fragrance was awful!
And, a beard balm he found at the supermarket in a small blue tub (can’t remember the name), but the fragrance smells like a spice jar, and not in a good way (kind of like a bunch of cloves)!
Anyone have any ideas? I was even considering making a balm myself so we could control the fragrance!

Yes, jojoba oil, argan oil, and chamomile oil all help relieve itchy skin and keep your beard soft. My husband usually uses fragrance-free beard care oil, such as Viking Revolution and Ranger. Its ingredients are only jojoba oil and argan oil, nothing else.

With beard and moustache in fashion, many men have started the old style of having beard. But I guess it needs to be taken a lot of care. As it is around the mouth lot of food can get stuck and may be germs could too breed in them. It is actually logical to use shampoo and clean it well. I guess a beard face needs more care

I had the same problem when I moved form a short trimmed beard to a more robust style. The best way to keep the beard and facial skin in good shape is to not use soap on the beard, but rather, use a good quality moisturizing type shampoo on your hair and beard.

I’ve never had to deal with beards but always wondered if hair conditioners or hair masks would help?

    Such obvious spam! I’ve reported.

Hmm. .. I wonder how big a nickel is, or a dime too for that matter. Brillo? No “u” in colour.

My hubby was just complaining to me about dry skin under his beard! Will have to pass on these tips & possibly get ready to start sharing my night cream & rose hip oil.

Beauty Gem, it sounds similar to what my husband gets with his beard. He finds that washing with an anti-dandruff shampoo, then using MY L’Oreal Elvive Oil (only recently discovered this, lol) seems to help him.
