What shade would I be?

Hi guys,

I have been trying interested in foundations that I found online which I’ll list but I’m having trouble determining my shade as the foundations I have at the moment are pretty high end and I don’t want to spend too much on a foundation so if anyone could help that would be great! My undertones are yellow and I’ve tried to determine the colour of my veins to understand actual undertone would be incase it’s wrong

Milani foundation
Wet n wild focus foundation
Ex 1 foundation

Also attached the clinique foundation in the post and attached the hourglass photo in the picture

Also if anyone can help me determine my shades for the maybelline fit me matte and poreless and also any suggestions that you may have on foundations that suits oily skin.

Thanks for that.. I’m terrible at picking shades. I’ve always stuck to Nudes to be safe but would love to experiment a bit further. Cheers 😉

Hey beauty! I come back bearing some help (hopefully)!

I recently followed a new Aussie store called @thebeautydrawers on Instagram and they send out free foundation samples, and it includes the Milani Conceal + Perfect! The details are in their 4th post, or just go on their website and go to the ‘contact us’ page to order and they’ll send out a few foundation shades for free so you can see which one suits you! I was typing this for another member on here and then suddenly remembered you were after Milani foundation shades too!

choose a shade that is the closest to your natural skin tone

I do but the question is to the foundations that I`m interested in purchasing

It`s hard to tell without a photo of a patch of your skin, and I would go off swatches of the foundation from blogs rather than those images if you can`t go in-store to test them. They aren`t very “”true”” and differ a lot depending on your computer/mobile screen.

Were you interested and wanting advice about the five different foundations mentioned above or wanting someone to recommend a shade?

Have you heard of findation.com? It’s a database that matches your current or past foundation shade to a similar shade in just about any brand. The more input you’re able to give it, the more accurate your results will be. I’ve just used it to order a Kjaer Weis foundation and fortunately it’s a perfect match. There are other similar databases, but I find that one is the most comprehensive.

I`ve tried that and I`ve gone into stores where they have foundations I`m interested in but have ended up with the wrong colour.

I think that is why they invented Perfect Match to take the guesswork away.

Priceline and Mecca are GREAT at foundation/concealer/powder matching! I’ve gone into both and it takes only 5 minutes to get your perfect match. The beauty advisers/makeup artists are super friendly and always ready to help! 🙂 It’s really hard to determine foundation shades online and most of the time they won’t match.

I also need to find my correct colour…

What a great site this it…

Do you have to book an appointment for this service and do you have to be a Priceline member?

      thanks

Check out @thebeautydrawers on instagram contact them for samples of foundation that can be found on their website and they will send you samples! Or go to priceline and walk in and they`ll give you samples if you ask

If only Mecca and Priceline stocked Miliani or the wet n wild focus foundation would be great

Yeah I don`t tend to buy products that aren`t accessible in stores where I can swatch the colour and see it in person. It`d be pretty darn awesome if Priceline stocked those infamous drugstore brands though.
