No idea at all…
I am a 38 year old who has never had interest in make up, however 2 kids and a busy life and I constantly look tired. I noticed a post of someone showing their ‘tiredness’ before and after make up and it looked great…
I am thinking I need to start putting on make up, but I need it to be simple and fast… Can anyone offer any help or maybe point me in a video make up tutorial?
TIA

I am very lazy when it comes to makeup too.
But to get rid of my tired look, this is what i do:
1) Even out your skin tone – either foundation, tinted moisturise, or BB/CC cream
2) Wake up your eyes – Mascara and Brow pencil/powder
3) Cheeks and lips – you can go with a cheek/lip tint together -

I would start with BB creams, priceline may have testers for you to choose from. They do a lot in one go, so that saves time ( I use them myself)
and I guess mascara if you are just starting out though fake lashies last a lot longer when kids are around…
those critters (I have 2 okay) loves splashing water on my face, so … waterproof mascara or fake lashes are recommendedcolor on lips is always good. I go for burts bees because they are moisturizing as well.
PS: age is just a number. you are pretty no matter what age ; )

Hi Juz4ben
Some quick go-to products I would recommend for someone starting out would be concealer, mascara and a tinted lip gloss. These are the 3 things I wear nearly everyday.
Some good pharmacy/discount department store/supermarket products I recommend are:
Mascara
– Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara in the colour Brown/Black. This is a lengthening mascara, meaning that it doesn’t provide volume to your lashes. Just makes your lashes appear longer and won’t cause them to clump together. Great for an everyday natural look and perfect for those that have blonde tipped lashes – like me! lol. You can go for the black shade if you want something more intense. If you have sparse lashes and think a volumising mascara might work well for you, I’d suggest asking the community as I’m not sure of many good ones.
Concealer
– Maybelline FITme concealer. This is my all time fav. Perfect for the undereye and eye area, blemishes and any scarring/red areas. Comes with an applicator so it’s super easy to work with and has a fantastic formula. Lasts all day and doesn’t crease or separate.Other great concealers are the Maybelline Master Conceal and the Maybelline Age Rewind. The Master conceal comes in a squeezy tube and is very high coverage. The Age Rewind is a sponge applicator and is good for mature skin. These are both great but my personal preference is the FITme.
You can blend all of these into your skin with your fingers just fine, however I would recommend trying out a makeup sponge. My fave is the Model Co Makeup Blender. You can pick up from Woolies. Best used damp, just wet until soaked and then squeeze out the water until no more water comes out. Apply your concealer and then press/pat & roll it into your skin using the sponge.
Lips
A tinted lip balm/gloss brightens up your face, and is really easy to apply and wears away during the day without going patchy like a lipstick. I recommend the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balms. Super cheap and you apply like a regular lip balm, but it’s coloured!Hope these suggestions are quick and easy for you 🙂

If you want a minimal makeup look I’d suggest mascara to open up your eyes. Also, if you have dark circles under your eyes maybe a bit of concealer to make you look more awake.
If you have a good skincare routine your skin will look healthier in general, and you won’t need the makeup to help you look less tired!
