This is 382 Red For Me. It appears very matte in real life, but not a lifeless, flat matte.

Thanks, Okatko! Yes, it`s very hydrating, although I`m not prone to dry lips.
MLBB? No, in real life it`s very vivid! Dare I say monkey-@r$# red? Haha! My tablet camera always makes bright colours look much subtler. Both of these lippies are very bright!

Thanks, Indie!
I debated that with myself for ages because I know mattes are usually more long-lasting. I reckon they were both about the same.
When I wore either colour, I applied, blotted with a square of toilet paper then reapplied (a few times I even reblotted then reapplied again!). Using this method, both lippies left an even stain of colour after a few cuppas. If there was any remaining after food, it had more to do with WHAT I ate, eg. when eating with cutlery, I was left with a very light stain of colour; when biting into something like a sandwich, there was no colour left afterwards.
For the first few uses, I just applied from the bullet once & waited to see how long they`d last. Neither lasted long: most of the lippy was left behind on my tea mug.

Thanks so much for the info, Mis8. I`ll need to give the blotting trick a try, especially with the red lipstick I have. I was considering trying the matte formula, but if there`s no real difference in longevity I think I will save my $$$. It`s not like I need any more lipsticks, anyway, lol.

DO try blotting, Indie! It makes quite a difference to longevity!
I`ll wear mine, but I wouldn`t repurchase due to the smudging at the lip line issue.

I’ve finally done a few pics in different lighting. This is 379 Fuchsia For Me. I think it looks much brighter in real life.

I’ve had a cold, so I didn’t want to “germ up” my lippies. I wanted to post pics – which I STILL haven’t done! – then finalise my reviews.
Overall, with the smudging, I think I’m going to have to give only 3 stars (average). Most of my lippies don’t smudge like these do – & I wear mostly bold lippies.

Just submitted my reviews and weird that there was no personalised link, usually links have your individual number in the review link, but mine just went directly to the product page like a normal review?
Others have the trial team badge, maybe it will be done manually – anyone else get a proper personalised review link or did you just go to the product page and do it?

I used the link in the email sent by Jessica O`Donnell. It led to the regular product listing page, so I uploaded my review there. After the TT deadline, I received a “”How was the trial?”” email about my review not being received. I thought it was a glitch, so I uploaded my review again, using the new link.
Now they`ve published both reviews! My first review doesn`t have a TT badge, but the second one does. I sent an email to Bh so one review should get deleted soon.

She replied today & my first review (the one without the TT badge) has now been deleted.

Yep, knew something was wrong with the original email link as it just went to the product page and I also got the “you haven’t submitted your review” when it was published a few days ago :(. Wish they’d get these links right, hate having to email as I never know who to.

Yeah. For TTs it`s Jess at jessica@beautyheaven.com.au
With all the glitches, I reckon they must be flat out at Bh!

I have been playing around with both lipsticks and noticed that after I removed them with a makeup remover or even wiped it off with a tissue, both the lipsticks leave a pretty light coloured stain on my lips. So it’s like I’ve got colour on my lips, even when I’m not wearing anything, which is nice.

We went out this morning with our friends and the lady kept saying that something was different on me. I was like…haircut? Nope. She said it had something to do with my make-up. I go…….ahhhhhhh lipstick? Then she goes that’s it, I’ve never seen you wear a darker pink like that. Told her I was trialling the colour and I also got a red one but you won’t be seeing that one on me. :-{

I thought for a second that you were referring to the Fuchsia For Me, but you got the Pink For Me, didn`t you? You must wear very light pinks, I didn`t think Pink For Me looked very dark at all. Mind you, I veer towards goth lippies on occasion.
I`m tempted to say, go on & give the Red For Me a go out in public; but, I know when I had to trial a nude lippy that there was no way I was going out in public wearing it.

Yes I got the Pink For Me misf8 – It`s not very often you would see me in a darker pink so this was a first for me. I am quite liking it though, it just took a bit to get used to it. I don`t wear real light pinks though as they look a bit wishy washy on me.
OMG….no way can I wear Red in any shade. My husband absolutely hated it

I love the Pink for Me, jatz, so much so that I`ve only worn that plus the Red for Me for the past 17 days. I have over 40 lipsticks but I`ve just stuck with those two lipsticks to make the most of the trial.
My hubby also hated the Red for Me in its full intensity, and I must admit I wouldn`t feel comfortable wearing such a strong shade of red out, but I`ve been just patting on the lipstick which gives me a much softer berry shade of red. It works really well with my berry and various shades of grey clothing.
So, from the initial shock of `oh, no, not those two shades` when I received the lipsticks, it now turns out I`ll happily wear both shades.

Glad you are happy with both shades onlyoni, that`s really good. Nice results 🙂
I`ve also noticed that the red is more berry on me, and I`ve been blotting off the colour with my finger and making it less intense and it`s more comfortable shade for me to wear.

Thanks ladies. I think by May 27 is enough time to assess and review the lipsticks for me, sounds good.

You`ve raised a good point though, Cherry. I`m sure there are trialists who are not forumites – there always are – I might shoot Bh`s Jess an email about the error so she can email everyone on the trial. I can foresee others missing the deadline.
[EDIT] Email sent. Hopefully, she`ll email everyone with confirmation.

Good idea missy8. I just checked in the invitation email, which notes May 27 as the review due date, so hopefully the non forumites will refer back to that email. But good to confirm for all of us.

Hi beauties, is the review for this trial due by June 27th? I can see that some beauties have submitted reviews, so I’m just getting the review date right, thanks 🙂
Hope everyone is enjoying their lippie colours 🙂
-
4 yrs, 11 mths ago
The first email said 27 May, then the second email said 27 June. Someone else mentioned this discrepancy of dates earlier in this thread, but we didn`t get a straight answer. I reckon June would be unusually long for a lippy trial, so I`ll be reviewing by 27 May.
-
4 yrs, 11 mths ago
I think I’ll also review by the 27 May, that’s plenty of time to form an opinion on the lipsticks.
I’m really enjoying wearing the Pink for me, I can apply that one without using a liner, although a liner does give it a more polished look. I’ve only been wearing the red around the house, it does suit my skin tone but I don’t usually wear red, it’s not a shade I gravitate to.
-
4 yrs, 11 mths ago
I still haven’t uploaded pics, I’ve got to get around to doing that. I wanted to try it in natural light, but I’m always in a rush during daylight hours.
I’m finding that the colours almost bleed after a few hours. It’s not quite bleeding, it’s more like smudging & wear at the edges. I’m going to start wearing these with a lip liner – I always skip that step.
-
4 yrs, 11 mths ago
I noticed that, too, Mis8, it`s hard to describe, because it`s not bleeding but the lipstick does start to move slightly outside of my lip line, which is only really noticeable with the red, not so much the Mauve For Me lipstick. I`ve found that a liner does help to prevent this.
-
4 yrs, 11 mths ago
Well that`s good to know Indie & mis8 – I am not used to using darker colours and noticed that the lipsticks were like separating or something like that. I`m not up on the terms of these darker shades. I just had to always reapply all the time. I thought maybe it was my dry lips or something.
-
4 yrs, 11 mths ago
I OFTEN wear bold & dark shades. This degree of blurring & wear at the edges is NOT common. I am still enjoying the colours, though.
I`ve got a shocking cold at the moment, so I don`t want to “”germ up”” my lippies.
