Matte Eyeshadows

I’m after matte eyeshadows in pink, purple etc (no browns or vibrant colours). Most of the eyeshadows I come across in stores are mainly shimmery.

I’ve tried W7 from Chemist Warehouse but I find after applying it leaves small powder clumps on my eyelids.

I don’t want to buy eyeshadow online as the colours online can look deceiving until you receive it physically.

Ideas?

Maybe try using a matte blush. They’re more buildable and blendable than eyeshadows.

I’ve picked up a couple of cheap ones from Kmart. One is ELF, a mini palette (they do a few different color combinations) and the other is BYS, another mini palette is browns and neutrals which I love. They’re both surprising good.

It`s lovely to “”see you,”” Ms Jelena. I do hope things have settled for you and that you are well.

Slowly, slowly. It’s a long way to recovery. Hugs to you, lovely Trish! Xx

Hugs back, Ms Jelena. It`s impossible to try to rush recovery. Hope you keep getting better. Thinking of you.

Not sure of your price range but there are several options:

Bang for your buck would be Revolution and ELF and they both have good reviews.

Nars has a great collection of matte eyeshadow and also Tarte too. Good luck

I highly recommend Jeffree Stars blood sugar palette, I am not sure if it is stocked in any stores in Australia though so it is online only.
But the pigment is amazing, it isn’t patchy and it is so long wearing.

I don’t really know of any drugstore matte palettes, but I do know Tarte has one (I think it’s the original Tartelette palette) and that’s a good one. Or you can go the route of customised palettes, e.g. MAC has single eyeshadows that you can insert into their palettes. Hope this helps!

Have a look at Mecca. They sell Too Faced and I know they have a natural matte palette. I am personally a fan of Makeup Geek shadows and there are quite a few matte shades. However, you’d have to purchase those online which you said you didn’t want to do.
