Makeup removal – liquid removal or wipes

Dear all beauty heaven beauties, I have seen lots of forum topics about make up. What about sharing your makeup removing routine?

I know most of us would have tried make up removal wipes before, but do you think facial wipes can replace traditional liquid removal? What do you think?

For my eye makeup, I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Liquid Eye Makeup Remover. for cleansing wipes I use Neutrogena Makeup Remover Night Calming Cleansing Towelettes and Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water.

I second the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water, it is really good. None of the other Micellar waters compare.

I use Redwin Sorbolene moisturiser as a make up remover. Works a treat.

The Maybelline Liquid one in the black bottle has always worked best for me. I’ve tried everything, including the really expensive ones, but this is the only one that consistently removes my waterproof eye makeup.

(pretty sure I got this tip off in the first place from Beauty Heaven, too!)

Yes, but we aren`t in India. Do you realise you are wasting your time posting on this Australian website? Nobody is interested in your products and this is not the place to advertise them!

I have a dove cleanser and toner in one, you mix it with a small amount of water and apply it to your face and it removes makeup really well. The only issue is possible eye irritation so it doesn’t work too well for eye makeup.

I have seriously tried everything there is on the market for makeup remover because i’m extremely picky when it comes to this type of thing. My skin is an important aspect to me and I want to do the very best for it to keep it glowing as I age.

The best product hands down, holy grail makeup remover is 100% Garner Micealer Water a 1L bottle is around $10-12 and it lasts me 4-5 months used 5-6 times per week. I use makeup remover pads and splash a decent amount onto the pad and go on my face. I use 2 pads all together and theres no trace of makeup left on my face, it gets rid of everything even when you think you have no makeup on this stuff will prove you wrong.

Hi taasha96, i have just tried garnier Micellar water too! I am using the all in one, no rinsing required version. I love the non oily feeling on the skin after, but I still cleanse fully after.

  • I have tried cleansing, double cleansing and face wipes to remove my makeup. I found none of these were good enough to remove everything that I had placed on my face earlier. So like you, I did some questioning and research and found a life changing product called Cleansing Oil and that certainly solved the problem. I use the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil and it removes everything. I follow up with a cleanser, toner and twice a week I exfoliate in between both of these products. It truly does the trick and I have been so happy with the results every time ever since.

    I hope this helps!

Hi girl, I have tried this product before. I like it, it works well for eye make up too. It melts makeup products away. However I got lazy as I find that I need to wipe my face several time to feel that I have taken all the oil and pigments melted in the oil away. 🙂

I use an oil cleanser. They’re extremely easy to use and even remove that really stubborn eye makeup. If not then I use a balm makeup remover. Clean It Zero is my go to daily product.

Seems like Garnier micellar water is recommended by quite a few of you beauties! I must try it!

Yes! I`m trying it at the moment, it`s very effective and doesn`t irritate my sensitive skin 🙂
